Korean Dramas?

Some of my friends are suggesting that I should watch Korean dramas which I have no idea if its good or not.


So any suggestions or recommendation which Korean drama to watch for starters? or does anybody even watch one here?

Looking for TV-Shows or movies?

Just recently got a recommendation by a friend that I should start watching Secret Garden which I'm gonna go for it. But I'll leave this thread open for any new recommendation for Korean drama starters.

Secret Garden is really good.
Then we have You're Beautiful which is one of my favorites.
I also liked Boys Before Flowers.
Currently a Drama named Love Rain is airing, which is really great, but not yet finished.
And last suggestion (for now) Dream High this Drama is really fun to watch!
If you're familiar with KPOP there are a couple of famous people in these dramas as well.
In You're beautiful is Yonghwa, the leadsinger of famous rockband CN Blue. Also, Lee Hongki, lead singer of famous rockband FT Island.
Boys before flowers has Kim Hyun Joong from SS501.
Love Rain has Im Yoona from Girls Generation, which is probably most familiar with anyone.
Dream High has a ton of famous people from KPop groups in the series, be sure to watch the first one though, the second Dream High was horrible.
My suggestion when you want to start watching Korean Dramas, is to watch one with someone you're familiar with.
I started like that by watching You're Beautiful (Which would be the one I'd recommend to anyone to watch first).

That's exactly what I'm doing and after I'm done with Secret Garden maybe I'm gonna check out that Korean drama that has Yoona in it or the one being suggested to me earlier again by a friend who has a guy named Hero Jaejoong in it.

And I'm into comedy romance.

I guess you mean Protect the Boss with Jaejoong in it. Pretty good one as well I enjoyed it a lot.
If you like Girls Generation, then besides Love Rain, there's also Wild Romance (Jessica) and Fashion King (Yuri).
Yoona herself has 3 Dramas, Love Rain, You Are My Destiny and Cinderella Man.

Comedy and Romance genre have the most dramas, so you'll be busy for a while. :P
Also a small hint; Never watch Trailers. People tend to spoil the most important parts of a drama and when you watch it, it doesn't really surprise you as much as it would've. So if you look for a drama, just read up on it instead or in your case, ask your friend for a good one. Seeing how he/she suggested Secret Garden, your friend seems to know his/her stuff. Secret Garden is pretty much the best Drama ever made.

I wanted to watch Love Rain its just that Yoona doesn't match with the guy, so I'm gonna check out some of the other suggested.
