*what do you mean by other computer cant connect? are they connecting thru ONLINE connection or just LAN connection?
*on your main.exe use your GLOBAL IP (make sure your global ip is STATIC)
and in server side just put your GLOBAL IP on serverlist (connectserver folder) and mapserverinfo.dat (data folder)
*try this....
go to C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc
then open HOST with notepad
put SERVER LAN IP then your GLOBAL IP
example:
server lan IP : 192.168.0.101
global IP : 111.111.111.111
Code:
# Copyright (c) 1993-1999 Microsoft Corp.
#
# This is a sample HOSTS file used by Microsoft TCP/IP for Windows.
#
# This file contains the mappings of IP addresses to host names. Each
# entry should be kept on an individual line. The IP address should
# be placed in the first column followed by the corresponding host name.
# The IP address and the host name should be separated by at least one
# space.
#
# Additionally, comments (such as these) may be inserted on individual
# lines or following the machine name denoted by a '#' symbol.
#
# For example:
#
# 102.54.94.97 rhino.acme.com # source server
# 38.25.63.10 x.acme.com # x client host
127.0.0.1 localhost
192.168.0.101 111.111.111.111
if you got other pc on your network that you want to connect to your server pc, edit their HOST too.
Re: Port forwarding error.
if ip is not STATIC,where is the problem ?we can connect both but when my ip will change i must make Just a new main to share and change to map server, serverlist or No?
Re: Port forwarding error.
Karli what if i use no-ip because my wan ip keep changing i think i got dynamic ip..what should i do i already forwarded the ports and its already open..what are the configuration when i use no-ip..should i use no-ip rather than wan-ip on (connectserver folder) and mapserverinfo.dat (data folder)?
example my lan ip is 192.168.0.100 and i use also no-ip example muonline.zapto.org how should i configurate this?..i dont think so that i can use my wan ip because its always changing because i got dynamic ip..
Re: Port forwarding error.
put ur noip in mapserverinfo.dat , serverlist.dat, commonloc.dat , iplist.dat , and at last line in startup.cfg and main.exe and done.
Re: Port forwarding error.
run the server 1st before u check in canyouseeme.org
