Ryan Gosling: an Actor, a Musician, a God
I am a male. I am straight. I am attracted to Ryan Gosling. Gosling is one of the best young actors of our generation. Starring in movies such as The Notebook, Drive, Blue Valentine, and his most upcoming film, Gangster Squad. He's handsome, he's an amazing actor, he's got it all. Not only is he an actor, but he also has his own band, called Dead Man's Bones.
In this thead, I'll take you some of what I think are his best moments in his career. Movies like Drive and Blue Valentine, in which he plays the lead role, are some of my favorite movies ever. In Drive, he plays a complete badass that basically fucks shit up everywhere. In Blue Valentine, he plays the total opposite, an angry, love-driven man.

Drive. One of my favorite movies of all time. Gosling plays "Driver" who is literally a getaway driver for robberies and crimes. He doesn't help the robbers, he just drives, and they have a 5 minute window to get the hell out of there. This film really proved that Gosling isn't the hopeless romantic everyone claims he is, he is a badass too. Here's the trailer.

As you can see, it already looks fucking awesome. If that wasn't enough, I'm going to include some of the best scenes in the movie in my opinion. If those don't entice you, then you suck, plain and simple. They'll be in spoilers, but PLEASE WATCH ANYWAY.

Now let's get into Blue Valentine. The story of a hopeless romantic meets a bitch, in my opinion. But I won't ruin it. The film is created in a very interesting way. It features flashbacks to the young lovers in love and switches back to when they're older and their love is fading. Basically, Gosling's sad performance us enough to bring a grown man to tears.

I won't post any other clips this time. Just watch the video. It's sad, but amazing at the same time. Michelle Williams also delivers an amazing part in the movie. If you're into the deeper love stories through film, definitely check this out. One of my favorite movies.

Now let's take a look at his most recent film, Gangster Squad, in case you missed my other thread on it. Now this is a film that I know Gosling will prove to be badass in. Watch the whole trailer and witness everyone's (Sean Penn, Emma Stone, Nick Nolte, etc.) badassery, but LOOK OUT FOR GOSLING'S AWESOME LINE AND ACTION AT 2:11.

That movie is going to be one of the best of 2012 and possibly one of my favorite movies of all time. Undoubtedly.

Like I said earlier, Gosling also has his own band. Dead Man's Bones has more of an acoustic/choir sound to them, featuring Gosling and a whole church choir. Here's one of my favorite songs.
