Hrace009's Files - Now re-uploaded!
Hello RaGEZONE community.
I was thinking of having a look at Hrace's topic, but I noticed it was closed and the links were down, so I thought of uploading his files, since I had them in my PC.
You can use THIS GUIDE! to set up.
Server files are to be downloaded from here: Click me!
And you can get the client here:
You can download VirtualBox or VMWare, for this server.

How to set up
-For people that can't follow the other guide-
1)Download the Server Files from 4shared, download VirtualBox and the HGN client.
2)Install VirtualBox.
3)Open VBox and click on "File", then Preferences, then Network and press on the Wrench , in the right side of the window that pops up.
3)Set it up like the following picture:
4)Go to VBox, press "File" - "Import Appliance.." and go to the folder where your Hrace009 files are located. Double click the .ovf file. Click Next and Finish, then wait until it imports the files.
5)Right-click the "PWServer- Hrace009" line in your VBox window and press on Settings and go to Network.
This shall look like:
Note: Mac Address is 080027AD81AD .
6)After setting all of these up, you can start the server by double-clicking on its name, in VBox. (I don't think I have to post an image here, huh? xD)
7)It shall now load some stuff, then it will ask you for Login and Password.
Log in: root
Password: hrace009
Enter this and it shall say something like root@pwhrace009 .
8)Write " ./tomcat_start.sh " and let it load.
9)After it loaded, write " ifconfig eth0 " and see your IP. It shall be 192.168.0.10 .
10)Open up your browser and try these pages:
192.168.0.10
192.168.0.10:8080/pwAdmin
192.168.0.10:8080/iWeb
If these worked , then you're running a successful local-host server. Congratulations.
Note: If you want an online server, look up for some guides around, to make the files online. You simply have to change VirtualBox to Bridged Adapter, change some IPs in there, open ports and then mess again with serverfiles.
Note 2: For people who do not know, when you type in the Password ( the "root-hrace009" part), you will NOT!!! be able to see what you are typing. So look at your keyboard when you type it and don't rage cause it is wrong.
Note 3: You might want to download WinSCP , to edit your server files.

Well ive gotten my server up it says server is unable to connect to server. I dont know what I've done incorreclty I turned on my pwadmin site and everything server is turned on everything is online but somehow I cant connect. Help me please?

Ive tried but im still unable to connect to server. My server list is exaclty the same everything is online I have restarted the server To be honest I dont know whats the matter.

I have the same problem and i am thinking that we have to get same IPs on server and the client and there where comes the problem how to find out the client ip and change it to the server ips :)

Yes, to my knowledge HRACE no longer 'supports' his release...
If you want something that still has current support (and is known to "work right out of the box" anyway) you need to download my release "The complete package" :wink:

Hey, sorry to bump..
But i couldnt really start trying to play the game with 343's complete pack. seeing from what i understand i need a server machine with ubutu installed.. which i'm not able to obtain before after summer.
So for learning, i figured i'd try this one for starters.
But i'm at a bump.. I can't seem to figure out how to get the launcher/client side to get on my own server.
(Installed the server with ease, and its running now) But my question is as follows:
- How do i get the launcher/client ?
- I know 3 clients followed, but honestly.. i dont know what to do with em. theyre just files in my eyes.
- As for the parts 1 - 10 which i'm surten is causing me to be at this bump... isnt working.
As in can't be downloaded.. and files 1-5 is missing.
Eager to learn.. Just point me in the right direction. Thanks <3

You could just as easily install my release in a VM, you don't "NEED" a physical machine.... That's exactly what I intended my release for, people learning about servers, in general even, not just PW... ... ...

i can find the HGN client for the Hrace009 files, the parts i downloaded 3 times all have corruption errors and they are 7z files i downloaded the 7x zip extraction program but its seems no luck at all is there a cliant i can use that will be compatible as i tried a 138 client and get maintenance error at login , and i cant seem to locate the nano PWserver/gamesys/.conf file on the vbox to change the settings .. please help .. thank you.

you can use a other client.I use from other private server an it work fine.Need only change the server list and put my data files on it.
Sorry my bad i think is dosent work woth other clients so i need too the other client.I dl this but same problem like chronicone.

Hello friends, I have read around here can not connect the client to the Server "Hrace009".
well here I will explain how I managed to connect me, once downloaded the files (server and client) and created the virtual machine, we run As the tutorial we review the IP's.
then the IP address of our server that should be in our client's configured in the following path:
PHP Code:
PW_136_Client \ element \ userdata \ server \ serverlist.txt
Opening the file "serverlist.txt" we see something like this

PvP
Land of Biting 29000:10.0.0.51 1
PvE
None Available 0:0.0.0.0 0
where we have to change the IP
PHP Code:
29000:10.0.0.51 1 a --> 29000:192.168.0.10 1
one that comes by default.
the IP of our server and should look like
PHP Code:
PvP
Land of Biting 29000:192.168.0.10 1
PvE
None Available 0:0.0.0.0 0
then save the changes, run the client and you should be able to connect to the server.
I tried to be as pedagogical as possible, I hope my answer will help and solve your small inconvenience.
clarified that this form of the probe connection only locally from a host machine to a virtual machine on the same physical machine and works.
I have not tested externally to a local connection.
Here I give you proof that I've been able to connect to the server from the client.
the server only brings an account that is the GM and is called "hrace009".

While my contribution would like to ask some questions to the most advanced and experienced. this distribution server "hrace009".
Ffirst Question:
¿This distribution can be optionally installed in VMWare or can only be used in VirtualBox?
NOTE: I tried to mount the image in VMware® Workstation 8.0.4 build-744019, but has not proven.
Second Question:
¿for that reason would not work on iWeb?
NOTE:
successfully installed the image of the distribution in VirtualBox: OK
[192.168.0.10] -> works correctly and shows me the directories: OK
[192.168.0.10:8080/pwAdmin] -> works correctly and shows me the admin page: OK
[192.168.0.10:8080/iWeb] -> enter the address in the browser and does not show me anything: not work!
Third Question:
¿you can use a client to another server to this server distribution?
Fourth Question:
¿What is the most updated client?
Fifth and Last Question:
¿how I can know and where I can find the most current version of the server files?

Well I been searching this whale week. all I found is how to use the npc editor and I already added an Npc Idk how to change its name or it shape Idk how to make my own npc.
Well I can find that later the Problem is (How to edit items in it.)

Well, as you're a newbie, we can't directly point you to that objective, because you won't understand. Firstly, you'd have to learn the basics of editing.
For now, spend your time searching for "elements edition".

Alright then. To do that, you'd have to open an elements.data with an elements editor, go to NPCs List, find the desired NPC and modify it.
Now if you wish to find out how to open the elements, you'd have to search, because that has been answered many times, specially in 1.3.6 section.

v136 is better (imho) not just because of this, but because it's when the game was more in it's 'peak' before all the BS of v144+ (the BS new races/classes etc)... Thinking about it --- many features too. One for example is auto path. At one point in time I was wishing that v136 had auto path because I was a lazy fuck at one point in time... Now "reflecting" upon it (pun intended) I think it's actually kinda nice there's no auto path. It really does take away from the game! Think about that one: you could just set an auto path somewhere and physically walk away from the PC, while if you have to pilot yourself there, you get more of the game to experience. v136, or at least our v136 releases here are really when the game was in its "heyday"!

Lol I do know how to use my sELedit and I used this guide to try learn how to put things in my npc (http://forum.ragezone.com/f695/inclu...-token-744338/) I did every thing as they say and nothing happen same npc with same things in it.

Um wouldn't the most logical answer to that problem be that they is using a 1.3.6 release with a 1.4.5 client, not a networking issue. They need a 1.3.6 client instead.

Dang, I don't know HOW I did not catch that. This is why I guess I should not browse the forums while half awake, or, half asleep (however anyone looks at it I guess depending on whether they're an optimistic or pessimistic person :lol:) !!!
Ok, I stand corrected ~ try using the correct server and client combination. HRACE server is ONLY for pw client v136... That's your primary problem!!!

That seem you're wrong to edit the serverlist.txt, anyway its not serverlist.txt that is updateserver.txt has been edited by you, try edir serverlist.txt in PWFolder\Patcher\server. I hope it help

I LOVE how you're using MY client with a DIFFERENT server, and expecting it to work. As I ever so explicitly stated -- my server and client are EXCLUSIVE (to each other), and if you try to use my CLIENT with a DIFFERENT SERVER, OR, my SERVER with a DIFFERENT CLIENT -- to EXPECT PROBLEMS >.<
I don't know where I was not clear in that statement...! Even if and when you get it working you can expect a whole additional world of problems after you THINK you've got it working (IE: all the instances you will NOT be able to enter, for ONE).
So my suggestion is, find another client, one that's more general and not as custom as mine to work with this (or other) server(s). Or use my server and client together, as a complete package, as they were intended to be used...! Or, take the next few years of your life editing my client to work with whatever server you're trying to use it with (or take the next few years of your life editing your server to work with my client) :lol:

Ok so the 192.168.0.10 works fine but the other 2 wont.. any idea why? im not getting any errors

pwAdmin and iWeb need a java server in order to run. Either jetty or tomcat. Make sure you have one running on your system and it is configured to port 8080

Maybe eth0 is not an interface on your machine/VM (maybe it's eth1 or eth2 or something else)... Try looking up what networking devices are available on your machine/VM.
And before you ask (how to do that) HERE - Linux: Show / Display Available Network Interfaces is how you can do that...

gshop not letting me purchase from boutique ive spent hours searching for the editor to see that would fix it n cant find a working link or editor for this and game says out of phase from server please help

gshop.data has to be physically the SAME EXACT file on both the client AND server side for it to work...
your 'out of phase' errors are due to client and server precinct's and region's not matching (you have to convert the client side .CLT's to server side .SEV's [using sTools])... Once the data matches in the precinct and region clt and sev files you will no longer get an out of phase error.

im just newbie in this .. i am just wondering all part 1 2 and 3 have the same file size . so thats why i asked if is it really needed to download those 3 parts

I have followed all these steps, everything has worked fine but when I go to follow the links (192.168.0.10, 192.168.0.10:8080/pwAdmin
192.168.0.10:8080/iWeb) they are not working. It has displayed no error on virtual box itself, however on the browser it says "This page cannot be displayed".
I would also like to know what the 3 client files are for, I'm quite new to this so sorry if this is a stupid question, I just couldn't find any instructions on them.

change ' 192.168.0.10 ' to ur local address ... this is an developer forum ... if u have problem about networking try google or a similar forum ...

I have followed all these steps, everything has worked fine but when I go to follow the links (
192.168.0.10,
192.168.0.10:8080/pwAdmin
192.168.0.10:8080/iWeb) they are not working. It has displayed no error on virtual box itself, however on the browser it says "This page cannot be displayed".
I would also like to know what the 3 client files are for, I'm quite new to this so sorry if this is a stupid question, I just couldn't find any instructions on them.
Haven't posted in this thread for a long time, even forgot about it. Write in your machine "ifconfig" and you shall see an IP. Like 10.0.0.15 or 192.168.0.10 or anything like that. Access that IP in your browser and it shall work. Easy as that.
