Movie Director

It's always an idea i had

It's always an area that i admired and appreciated, people forget the most important, people credit the actors but not the realization, most of them don't even care but if you think, writting a story, picking actors, choosing scenarios and everything, that's a hell of a task, it's an area that i admire alot, i don't know alot of what being a serie director is but it's something i'd like to be for sure, it's so interesting, so...

What is it really needed to be a movie director? Anyone that understands about the thing can explain?

I'm going to CSU Los Angeles later this year to major in Film and Digital Media, hopefully something will come out of it.

Aye, Directors are among the most important roles in the movie. And they are always under-appreciated. You have to be fairly intelligent and well organized to be a director.

Peter Jackson / Steven Spielberg / Quentin Tarantino are among my favorites I can list off the top of my head.

Tarantino is one of my biggest idols.

I assume you mean, before becoming a director? If so, no. A lot of directors have started off in small scale, low budget films and became a great success.

James Cameron is one of my favourites. You need qualifications in the industry of film/filmography if you want to be part of the Hollywood scene then you need to invest and get noticed. As Vendaku said, budget films can lead to blockbuster films or great opportunities.
