Server Network Error - Yeah..
Alright, yes I know this is EVERYWHERE.
But after searching for a few hours, and trying to fix myself with no avail..I decided to ask ragezone.
So yeah, I'm getting a server network error when logging in..everything seems fine.
And I know what caused this..I wanted to secure phpmyadmin..so I started by changing the password..everything seemed fine till I rebooted the server..all my pwadmin stuff/website stuff works with the new password..but the server network error is killing me.
Note: I know to edit the table.xml in /etc/ and my table.xml is correct..
I guess my question is how do I fix this?
What other files need to be changed?
Sorry about the messy, unorganized look of this post! I'm frustrated.
Re: Server Network Error - Yeah..
omg ... and the same question as every year ... which release ? if u try my release ... read my first post in the release section ... if u try other releases post in there section and | or look to my signatur ... if u try mixed files ...
Re: Server Network Error - Yeah..
Ouch..and will do.
Thanks for the reply though, as I did try to fix it myself before asking..
Edit: You didn't exactly answer my question though..
What other files need to be changed(other then table.xml in /etc/)

Ahh I encountered this too, there was another file to change, I'll see if I can find which it is and get back to you, having trouble with mine atm too
Re: Server Network Error - Yeah..
Btw..
The uusr you told me to look at, did not fix the issue, as I said it happened after I changed my phpmyadmin password.
The tutorial of your release? I don't see anything about which files to change the password in that corresponds to phpmyadmin...
Unless you meant somewhere else, I wouldn't know what "tutorial you are talking about" seeing as you didn't specify.
Anyways, to sum it up..I just basically need a push in the right direction, or where the files are at that you need to change after changing the phpmyadmin..
*back to google and trial and error till someone can shed light in this area for me*
fgru, if you are telling me where exactly to look..(in another thread) I'm really not finding it, and I'm terribly sorry I cannot find it..
And..

That would be amazingly helpful.

Ok mate I found it, I hope this is what it is on your release anyway
you need to go into /root/mauthd/etc/table.xml ~
Let me know if that fixes it or if it even exists on your release

Already have that table.xml changed. It didn't work.
A lot of work to change a phpmyadmin password..lol..
Anything else?
Re: Server Network Error - Yeah..
Make sure authd is "looking at" the correct table.xml ?
maybe you edited one that it's not even "looking at" ?

I changed the ones in..
/etc
/root/pwserver/ms_authd
/root/pwserver/my_authd
I'm honestly confused, as I would think changing the passwords in the table.xml files would work..
Maybe it is how I changed the password by clicking changepassword from actually within phpmyadmin.
But surely not, cause all my website stuff works..registration/etc.

look at authd itself to see where it looks for table.xml

with you having my/ms_authd I'm not sure on your release
does your /etc/hosts file contain any information that's incorrect?

I'll be 100% honest, idk where to "look" at the authd..I check the authd file in my_authd..
cd /root/pwserver/my_authd/build
Seems to be where it looks, IF that is the right place to look..
I also checked the authd.conf in /etc/ and the only directory in it is:
mtrace = /tmp/mtrace.authd
Kind of bad I don't know where it is.. :/

Release is based off of fgru's release, I'm pretty sure.
And no, my server is live(public) and was 100% working till I rebooted after changing the phpmyadmin password.
Note: It was working before with the password 123456. And once I changed it, the client just tells me server network error..so some file I believe just is not changed to the new password.. >:[
Re: Server Network Error - Yeah..
How do you start all the services up? You'll know where to check depending on how you start your services...
IE: If you use start.sh then you will know by looking at that...
Add:
By the sounds of it (if you have more than one AUTHD) you have one pretty messed up copy/release (and or mixed), you may also want to just back up your DB's and start with a nice clean installation again
Re: Server Network Error - Yeah..
it is my release ond ONLY " my_authd " is used ... look like pwAdmin [ .pwadminconf > String pw_auth_path="/root/pwserver/my_authd/"; ] ... and my release work with pwAdmin [ pw ] ... no " start.sh " or similar ...

I fixed it by reverting to password in phpmyadmin to the old one, and changing the tables.xml in the /etc and /my_authd/etc
But that still doesn't explain why it doesn't work when I change the password to something new..
Surely there is a simple explanation..as normally there always is.
For now, until this can be figured out I just blocked phpmyadmin by htaccess allowing my LAN/and the server IPs in.
