Ideas around new avatars from isro /etc
Hello,
I've wondered about this problem, till I read a thread somewhere about kidemonas monster, i read there was a slight problem with adding that mob for BR files due to crashes, however I thought of the following when I read that. WHAT if Joymax has changed the files to be read through their Particles/Media/Data in order to prevent us from copying it?
Could it be something with a new file type? Or how "big" the files are being able to be read in order to load them. Let's say file 1 has 24 kb and file 2 (new) has 48 kb? Just an example, or a string or similar within these files that read it off, and therefore we cannot use the new avatars/items/etc - could this be it?
I'm nor a coder or developer of any sorts, but couldn't they just simply have changed the type of how data is being loaded or similar? Like a security towards the files.. ?

Well it became completely impossible to add new avatars well i knew the story when i took look at the ddj files from data.pk2 so basically new avatars contain 2 files for each part of the avatar like for ex avatar's hand (2 ddj files well also 2 bms files) and old avatars not so the new changes must be coded at sr_client as well
that's why we deathly hate their 3D modeler and coder as well :lol:

Thanks for your reply, IS IT impossible to take the iSRO SRO_CLIENT or maybe vSRO sro_client and 'crack' it or whatever, could it be used to work with the new avatars? I'm not good at any of these, I just like to speculate around things towards development..

well for sure ...we need to edit sro_client.exe,,not sure if need to edit game server also
i have looked at sro_client.exe(isro) didnt find anything about new avatars -.-
dont know what this mean then

i remember when i looked at the dmp file
it say missing file
but the true
this file already in the data.pk2
so maybe this file wont work with vsro ...for some reasons

If somebody can upload on of the latest avatar all .bsr and so on from data.pk2 and .efp files from particles and the string from itemdata.txt
I could try something with hex editor.

yeah LoCker is completely right and the solutions are:
need pro 3D modeler so he can change them to old avatars and other solution is coding
basically both well be so hard even impossible yeah like he said
and why you want edit bsr ? bsr or bmt are not the problem they are just links so if you want edit then there is ddj (mtrl) and bms (mesh) (the 3D objects)

Just some suggestion: If you are trying to make them work, start it with 1 part, for example the hat, cuz the less files, the more chance not to get crash. I tried to modify them, but I'm not succeed.

I will play with the new avatars soon, but generally... the new isro sro_client is heavily changed.
i already disabled their hack shield, but the minute you attempt to login "TO VSRO" servers, it will just RUNTIME ERROR, so im guessing lots of op-codes got changed etc...

well as far as i know isro sro_client need disable a lot of stuff to run normally with vsro that's why you got runtime error
tell me first which client you running with that cracked sro_client ?

Sorry i cannot, i didnt work on it alone so i cant release it.

But i will release some valuable information on how to make new avatars or add new avatars to the game!
1) Open itemdata ->
2) find the .bsr file ->
3) hex edit it -> you will notice its actually a library connector file that holds information about the other files!
4) find the bmt file -> you will notice its actually another library connector and this one holds information of the MECH files "The 3d model files".

Of course the rest is unknown yet, i believe this:
1) The bsr file = the library to how the model is structured!
2) the bmt file = the library to how the texture is structured!
You will notice on perfection i made around 10-15 new avatars "based on different textures and using the same model structure"! <-- this will actually get stolen soon so oh well! http://perfectionnetwork.com/

1) they are avatars using the old models with new textures to create a 100% new avatar.
2) you have 0% clue of what you are talking about

also believe me, i am 90% close to adding new avatars and the closest to doing it, i can load 50% of the model to the game, rest still need more work. just ... read what i wrote again.
its not about editing the .ddj file, its about making a new avatar based on modified .ddj files. and i released how to do it.
and i would love to learn from you.. so if you have something i dont know, then post it.. else dont act like you know everything :) you clearly did not understand anything i said in the past 2 posts.

try contributing something useful to this forum instead of posting useless garbage.
The entire point to my post was to show how avatars work, how they are constructed, and how to build new avatars so people can learn and have an idea on how to remake the new avatars. Its not about what you can do, its not about that you can do it and if you are just a jealous kid that has nothing better to do than post useless things to make himself sound good, then you should delete your account and don't come back.
But if you want to learn something useful and share and be useful to the community then don't post anymore garbage. This is a development community, useless people are not welcome here.
Your next reply will tell me exactly how valuable you are to this community... because to me, so far you sound like an 11 year old kid who just wants attention "which this is not the right forum for".
P.S >> People that acted like you in the past did not last more than a week on RZ, they tend to rage and get banned easily. Which is good... So feel free to repeat. I have seen many kids like you here before.

no problem Jangan about sro_client :) i wanted to help anyway i don't have server as you know i just want to learn to proof to myself that i can make something different and i'm gonna take massive courses on such stuff VB VS .net etc when finish exams
okay but you didn't say which client you are using because as far as i know vsro 1.188 will never work with isro sro_client but vsro 1.193 may work with modifying some tables and stored procedures well i prepared it before but stuck at sro_client and when i asked Chern0byl he said upload it and i'll do but he ignored so i just forgot about it and deleted the db

A little advice , Never argue with jangan when he knows what he's doing ( and he usually does ) and the tips he gave should be enough for working with the new avatars .

Thanks a lot for all your replies, didn't expect any at all.
I think JoyMax has re-made the structure of their database / GameServer.exe - therefore we are crashing all the time when adding a new avatar. Adding it client side should not be a problem, but server side there has been major changes.
Also did anyone notice when downloading kSRO or iSRO client the TextData.rar file in there? Why the hell would they add that there? Backup / forgot to delete or?
