Network error when using more than one processor core

can't run server with more than 1 core of proceessors:grr:
if i add a core of proceessors i get network error on client (server communication error between the network)
if i use a single core, all run perfectly
i has try any file server from other base
but i get same error

use ubuntu 11.10 32bit on oracle virtual box
proceesor AMD phenom 1100T x6 3.3Ghz
RAM 8 Gb
Power suplay 1000W
maiboard gigabyte GA-880-GM USB 3L
file server 1.4.4 base RageZone Perfect World aliases

any solutions :(:

Do you have virtualization (VMX) activated?

Sorry, but the only two cents I can put in would be to try VMware (in addition to what swoosh already said) :wink:

of course I had to activate the feature VMX or AMD-V on a my bios and virtual box :*:

kk . u use a pc with virtualbox and in virtualbox u running the pwserver ? if this true ... more than 1 cpu is stupid ... local hosting [ like vm ] is ONLY for test > 1 cpu is ok ... more is very very stupid ... [ vserver have other specification like server cpu /etc ]

if u try to pwserver for external using ... use nativ hosting like second pc [ like local nativ / vserver / dedicated / etc ]

but I've tried running pwserver 1,3,6 using virtual box with 6 core of processor
nothing problems with network server,run perfectly on local network and public network

Did you try only using 2 or 4 cores (I saw you mention something about 6 cores)...?

I have tried to start with 2 to 6 cores
no change.

If that's the error you're getting that is always a problem with AUTHD not being able to 'talk' to MySQL (for whatever reason that is)...

There could be a million reasons AUTHD and MySQL could have "trouble communicating with each other" though... Anywhere from wrong 'config' in table.xml, to a problem with MySQL itself, or AUTHD itself, or JAVA... It just seems weird to me that your server would be working when the VM is set to one CPU/one core, but doesn't work when set to more than one CPU or core... =\ Did you check all of your error logs???
