E3: Ubisoft Montreal - Watch Dogs

Hey there,

Watch Dogs, a new title from Ubisoft Montreal, was just announced during Ubisoft's pre-E3 press conference. The game was being played with an Xbox 360 controller during the presentation, but these graphics distinctly better than most things we've seen on current consoles. It also looks like there may be drop-in-drop-out multiplayer.

I just finished watching the Ubisoft preview at E3, it's still on now. Ubisoft have announced a brand new game for next-gen consoles called 'Watch Dogs'. There is not much information apart from that you are a wanted hacker and you can jam connections, perform parkour tricks and much much more. Video below.

That's because it was controlled using the Wii U Pro controller not an xbox.

One of the very few solid games I thought from the show which seems to have a good concept, hopefully that tease at the end was actually drop in multiplayer because that'll be amazing.

Just got confirmed for PC also so feels good.

(Apparently the demo on stage was running on PC using a 360 pad so I guess I was wrong on the pad but I was certain it looked like a Wii U pro with both the sticks on top, oh well.)

A game worth buying

Just watched the gameplay footage and I must say I'm blown away. Ubisoft never seems to disappoint me. They take time and effort with their games. And give that choice of freedom.

I'm looking forward for they reveal the release date.. I'll surely pre-order this amazing game.

Watch Dogs was previewed on the PC. The Xbox controller you saw was actually the Xbox Controller for Windows.

From what is known of it until now, the game is indicating very heavily at being a next-generation title. Maybe it's going to be a launch title for the next-gen consoles. They said it'll be out in 2013 so if we hear even the slightest traces of the official PS4 or Xbox 720 before E3 next year, this can be confirmed for it.

The IP itself seems to have great potential. Ubisoft needed something like this now that the AC franchise is coming to an end and what they did with Watch Dogs is absolutely mind-blowing. Maybe it's just the demo but if you observe, every character in the game is unique and has his/her own personality. That is just an intense level of immersion for me.
