nothing worth posting if no one wants to help
that would be really helpful, i remember muno saying he got something about it? donno it was long ago.
Correct me if i´m wrong, but is it possible with the limitations of the .exe?
I mean, it reads the .shdb-files and the rest we use atm, but this .htd-files are some new stuff (since Adealia Patch on OS was released i think???)
Even if we can read and edit it, is there a chance that the .exe can use it? Maybe its implemented in this version of the .exe and OnsOn never used it before OR it´s some new shit and it has 2be coded into client.
there are already htd files in resmap, even b4 adealia and everything.

Alberstol Ruins uses a .htd, so its still used by the old TW files.
A lot of the older maps use .htd files, it'd be handy to have a tool to rip them open.
.HDT are not new. All the outside type maps are done this way. If you took time to look at the files you would know this. It is basically a heightmap. It tells the program the form of the mesh, sort of. In reallity there is no such thing as a mesh, its just numbers. but if you think of it like making a model its the mesh that you put the textures on. but i'm looking for real info here not to talk about can and can't do. This for me goes beyond fiesta. This is just something i like so fiesta is my learning ground. Also, i don't want to edit a map thats just stupid, anyone can do that once the info is around to learn with. I want to make maps/terrain for a whole new look and more.
havnt you done it once? i remember some screenshots in kdev. and many maps are using htds actually...
i can make nif style maps but they are limited cause of the texture format. you can do much nicer maps with the .r32 cause of the stencil layering.

you are wrong. you said no one is interested so they've been ignored, that is certainly faulse. i've never ignored them, and always looked at them trying to figure them out. the HTD files were there since long ago. we dont need somebody to check it for us.
I wasn't asking anyone to check things out. I am looking for information
