He looks like he is .. uhh.. shitting..
Overall I really like it, she has my respect (especially if that was by memory, and even if not it really did turn out very well). Not only was the shading actually done nicely, but I really like the line work as well. The only piece I really didn't find appealing was the large defining line for the bottom of the eye, I personally prefer them smaller not only in thickness but in overall length too (especially for male characters).
I really like how she didnt edit out when she made mistakes/ removed her guidelines.
You should tell her to keep it up and do Lieutenant Riza Hawkeye from FMA next ;D.
/facepalm
This is very poor technique, i'm not a fan of cartoon drawings they always look like outlines not 'drawings'.
If you want to see some real talent ThePortraitArt - YouTube
Just because the style may not be what you prefer does not make it any less of a challenge then realistic drawings. Cartoon style has its own rules and techniques just like any other piece. To say one type of art style is better then another is like comparing dubstep to classical music, or gothic architecture to modern day. To each their own.
To simply say someone isnt talented without giving a reason doesnt only make you look like an jerk, it makes you look incompetent as well.
