-99 is possible in 1.4.4 but it was changed so its not insta anymore
Dude, gone are the days of cheating (or at least they should be), and this would fall under the lines of cheating... I think there's a whole new set of gamers that pride themselves on not having to cheat (or exploit bugs/glitches), and I am personally one of them... Seriously, what is the fun if it's not challenging... The challenge IS the fun!!! Think about it, how long would you play a game in 'god-mode' before you got bored of "being god" and move on to something else! Same goes with PW, why do you think people get addicted and play for YEARS on end??? Because it is challenging. If you gave someone a GM cape and a GM weapon I can safely say you'd be lucky to keep that persons interest for longer than a month!

How is instant casting anything like cheating?
I don't think it falls under any exploit or glitch, just something they didn't think about when they made the 1.2.6 server.
Its a fun feature that we can enable but requires careful balancing to force users to have to use lower grade armor for it.
Back on topic anyway, nobody has found a way to edit the casting limits in the GS as far. So its only 1.2.6 that supports it atm.
Just because they "didn't think of it" doesn't mean it was intended... That is evidenced by the fact that it's since been "resolved"... So in the end that does make it not much different than a bug or glitch... I would not necessarily label it a "fun feature", and maybe I'm just thinking more like a programmer here than anything else but, I think the only 'group' of people that would label it "fun" or a "feature" (let alone both) would be children, or people who otherwise enjoy 'cheating'... I know when I was a child I certainly did enjoy slapping on GOD mode and running around being invincible... Like I said though, being an adult now, the fun is in the challenge. Running around like god gets boring after a rather short duration!
Well it really depends if you want to play a low rate server or a pvp one. But you're going way off topic here.
insta is making you almost invincible and has no reason to be possible on any server, beeing it high or low rate.Quote:

It all depends how your server gear is set up, but we've had instant casting for 3 years and its no problem. It just makes mage look that bit more awesome when fighting.
