Chernobyl Diaries Trailer Official 2012 [1080 HD] - YouTube
Going to see this on Friday when it comes out. Who else is going, and what are your thoughts on the trailer?
I love films with this sort of premise. I don't know why, but they could be super bad or super good, and I still typically enjoy it just the same lol. The trailer is rather inticing though, isn't it? :)
When I stumbled across the IMDb page I was really intrigued, the trailer held my attention and it looks like it could be a thrilling movie. However, I disliked the Paranormal Activity films and I don't know how well Oren Peli will have done with Chernobyl Diaries. I think I will have to go to see it at some point, out of curiosity. It will be interesting to see how Bradley Parker does directing his first film too.
I absolutely love the Paranormal activity series so this is definitely my cup of tea!
The idea behind this is so stupid, and the script is so freaking unrealistic it makes me sick, I mean, HEY WHY NOT GO TO CHERNOBYL, I fancy a 3rd leg ! Then when they hear the scream in the night from an abandoned building they decide to go in ? I mean, I know some horror movies tend to make the characters do some stupid crap but this just exceeds it all.
Cinema is all about being unrealistic. I'm sure you're familiar with Harry Potter and such like series? Are they too, "unrealistic" for you?
So you'd go watch a documentary about a group of people on an extreme tourism trip to Chernobyl?
This is actually why I dislike most horror movies. The characters are made into complete fucking retards.
"LOL, WHAT WAS THAT ABSOLUTELY TERRIFYING, HORRIFIC NOISE COMING FROM THAT DARK, 100 YEAR OLD POSSIBLY HAUNTED BASEMENT FILLED WITH TORTURE MACHINES WHERE 100 PEOPLE WERE KNOWN TO BE BRUTALLY MURDERED! ..... 2AM IN THE MORNING.... LOL LETS STAY AND INVESTIGATE AND RISK THE POSSIBILITY OF BECOMING A HUMAN LAMP SHADE!"
Seriously. A lot of horror movies have ridiculously clumsy, idiotic plots lol.
I still like the look of this movie however. =)
Is this about the Chernobyl disaster? If so I'm definitely going to follow this. I've always been interested in the sort of things that have happened there and now they're making a film all shall be told.. but via acting!
So I saw this tonight. If anyones ever seen Episode 50, they'll know what I mean when I say it's a typically scary film throughout which lacks a thorough ending. The ending, was terrible. Absolutely terrible. I have no other words for it.
It's a decent film, right up until she finds salvation, and then has it taken off her. Nor did this poor ending pose a possible sequel.
I never said it was a documentary, but by your implications, you said you don't like films that lack realism, and that's really what makes this film.
I'll be honest, it wasn't great. Again, it didn't do the trailer justice.
