Picture Guide for Restoring .bak DB to MS SQL 2005

We all know all video tutorial on YouTube have blocked by Min Communications, so I decide to make a picture guide so newbie understand easier even without a video tutorial, newbie can still follow the guide....

this guide are for those noob and newbie have no idea how to Restoring Database for MS SQL 2005 for any Episode...


1) First of all know where you can put your backup database, so I suggest put in on Drive C where you can easily find..

2) Login to your Microsoft SQL Server Management

3) Now go to the database and create new database

4) Create a database name

5) Now restoring the .bak database just follow the picture

i got error, im following your guide but still thesame error.

@kenn14 its say on your ss that you have existing RanGame1 database,,, there are option.... first ether delete the existing one or reinstall you new mssql...

@kenn14 if you have an existing rangame1 do this..

Rightclick to Databases>RestoreDatabase then continue backing up your db

I don't have web.bak that's also need..?
anyone can give me a database with web.bak?

no need just rangame1 ranlog ranshop ran user

i also have the same error like francis112. i already reinstalled my MSSQL still i got the same error. please help us

you dont need that web.bak that is for dutch x pannel only

anyone know how to know my odbc username and odc password and other important odbc to make my server files connect to my database :(

almost done but the remainig errors is comment.ini skill error :(

i used that thread but i search some solution problem.. they said that the solution is for server files compatibility.. it is the same server and game client i used -.-

On Options Menu When U Are Restoring
change the "C:\tindahan\RanGame1P_Data.mdf" <~ Change The RED To ...
To this ..
c:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.1\MSSQL\DATA\ <~ Use this destination if u are only using Program Files (x86) storage

c:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.1\MSSQL\DATA\ <~ Use this if u are using Program Files Folder. .

try redownloading the RanGame1? or if it doesn't work try searching the error on google, maybe microsoft can help

Please recommend a combination of Data 2 servers together.

I'm sure... you are using higher version of MSSQL server than your RanGame1.bak' try to search a 2008 version of RanGame1.bak to resolve your problem..

Hello i have run the Ran Files successfully but my last problem is the user account. I already tried to create gm account MD5 and w/out MD5 but still keep showing the wrong account input. i dont use the release RanGame1 because its error on my sql.
