Could we run it on CentOS 6?
Could we run the server files on CentOS 6 without issues?
Re: Could we run it on CentOS 6?
my first try was on centos 6 to test, it ran ok but recommend using 4 for best results as its more compatible with chumpys repack 2.81 but up to u. GL
and MSSQL express 2005 for databases
Re: Could we run it on CentOS 6?
4 is too old, it isnt as stable as 5 or 6. 6 is the most stable atm

Plain and simple: Yes. Every dependency is met.
I'd strongly recommend everyone to run Cabal on the latest and up-to-date CentOS.

Disregard that and use MSSQL 2008 R2 or 2012 Express.

I have a runing test server on latest CentOS 6.
Its one thing if one cannot install it properly.
If the automated install doesnt installs properly just take a look at the install script and install manually the packages needed.
Re: Could we run it on CentOS 6?
the only real problem is running it on x64 ... it's a mess to link all libs, but with x86 you can just yum everything and it'll work

YOU, recommend it.... I don't recommend it, Alpha and Acnathon too.
Chumpys guides are very old...
In my opinion, use Vmware Server 2, CentOS 6.x and MsSql 2008 or 2k12. This works fine for me.
If you need a help, use google.com, we don't support mssql or centos problems.
regards
