i dont quite get it..i had a mu online server and it ran on sql2000
and it had tabase bacups and i was able to restore them....
my question is can i use my sql2000 server instead of mysql?
and where os the database backups in lineage i cant figure it out....
can u make it clear to me?

simple answer is no, the system has been designed to use MYSQL, so simply put you couldnt use MS SQL, unless you did some heavy changing of code in the server, etc.
But from your post it looks more like your interested in setting up a server only, and not developing, I would suggest using one of the packs from greenhope or violator, you can get you system fulling working in less than 1 minute with them (as long as you follow there instructions word for word).
