Hello People / Help with Client =) "English" Ultimate

Hello , i got a Pristontale Server from UltimatePT on my root server.. i get access from client to Server and i can loign.. the problem is.. i would use the Ultimate Client and not the Personal PT client (4096Englisch)

but he say only Unable to connect with the Ultimate client.exe ... i hexed the exe.. and i found a old ip adress ... i changed it to my Ip adress from my root!


Why i want the Ultimate Client.exe? " Well the Client exe is level cap 150 and the PPT not"

The alternative executable (the one which supports drops properly and such) for Personal Priston Tale is completely compatible with the UltimatePT Client, and server. So the question is not "Why use Ultimate Client.exe?" But rather, why is it not working for you, when the inferior PPT alternate is working fine?

ya that correct but in Personal Pristontal is the Level Cap 100 and .. and i dont know to hex level in the client.exe im to stupid for this ^^

and the Ultimate client very uptodate.. the personal pristontal not

IDK what the alternate client cap is, I would guess it was 120, but it could be 100. It's only QF1873.

Unzubarus' UltimatePT client is designed to work with UltimatePT server, and PPT client is not. UltimatePT client is (I believe) also based on QF1873, but with level cap, map and monster updates. :/:

i m using the Ultimate Server exe ... but the exe works with the PPT client not wit the Ultimate CLient.. that is what i dont understand

Neither do I. It should be more likely to work with Unzu's client than mine. While the similarity makes both working not unexpected, (both QF based) the idea that the wrong one should work when the right one does not makes no sense at all.

Have you tried tracing the network connection? (missing imaged noted... I need to remake those I guess :(:)

i can connect with the PPT client to server.. but not with the Ultimate Client.. and i changed the Ip with the Hexeditor

Yes... but have you traced the connection in order to confirm that the configuration change has been accepted correctly.

I often use configurations in PPT which may override the hex in the executable... and hex editing is notoriously tricky. Where does the client report what IP and port it is working on, except in a port tracer?

Just check it, and see what you learn. It can't be any less than we know already, which is no more than "it should work, but doesn't" :wink:

i was using tCp view.. and i saw the clients have the same port 10009..

Server exe port 10009
client PPT = 10009
Ultimate Client 10009

i would hex the level in the ppt client.. but if i want hex it.. the game exe get a error then and wont start..
that is the problem why i hate hexing.. its very hard..and i checked the ppt exe.. and the xp table is only to 100

And what happen with the Ultimate Client i dont know its only for a local machine?ß well i use remote?? i have my server online
i hexing now since 6 hourse.. without a happy end.. only the game exe get error! i would hex only the xptable to 150

because it's now go on my 5 try a server .. Now I have a client-English what I'm getting wiser before! Now it should work once

Greetings. I would like to clarify something and it's been long overdue. The UltimatePT project was a community-based project directed at providing a stable server enviornment for others. It was far from perfect but was a much better release than some of the random stuff floating around. However, that was a long time ago and is very outdated in comparison to all the releases currently out here. I don't reccomend it anymore.

I wish I could assist you further in the client troubleshooting, but i'm afraid I never got around to testing it for these kinds of issues. This was a "rushed" project if anything. I suggest just swapping out the client and server exe for newer ones after making a backup of the orginals in case there's an issue. Either way, I wish you the best of luck.

that is it ... i dont find Game.exe and Server.exe uptodate and in English

if i found one it will not the problem.. but all clients translated in Porto , Brazil , Japan , Koren or something but not in english

that is that what make a problem for me ..

i can only work in a moment with this client.. well its in english

If you want to PM me your server IP (if it's available on the general internet) and any specific details, I can try to make an UltimatePT client, or other 150+ English translated client connect to it and pass it back to you.

Archive contains client executable, 2 required DLLs and a language folder with incomplete 009 (English) language file as a template. (debug DLLs which can help you find other translation addresses are in the development thread)

Specifications are:-

• Max level 149 (I believe)
• Language (any you care to program)
• Supports Phoenix pet
• Supports Smelting and Metallurgy
• Also supports anything in KPT Test Client 1.97.7, because that's it's source. ^_^
• Supports fixed size window mode without pixel stretching
• Provides hardware (OS) pointer as well as in game pointer. (either can be turned off in code)
• Reads per-user registry settings, not local machine registry settings

Check the development thread for details of the fatal bug(s) which halted development of this branch!

how u mean ? only in login or u mean ingame? well if i start the exe ...it will works good.. in win 7 64x.. for me only in login ^^ ingame i dont know ^^

Don't get as far as login... don't get as far as the splash screen before it CTD. Opens black DirectX fullscreen and then returns to the desktop with the icons all messed up and a message suggesting I send a bug report to Microsoft. XD
