[Discussion] Gaming Headset - Good Price
Well, as a new user of a console (xbox 360), first thing I need is headset especially for fps games like COD / BF.
I'm making this thread to see what people in the community can recommend / suggest for a gamer like me - to those great gamers out there, come here and try to help and discuss something.
Anyway, atm my gaming is alright but it still alot better wearing and using a headset than listening to your tele that gives you lot of details of sounds around you (as obvious).
You can discuss any gaming headset you want to, but there are some details of a headset I am really looking for, that's why I made this thread to get more into the topic.
Question/s ..
What headset, you gonna recommend me to use as a beginner that will give me good quality of sound - not the best one (great if so) but good price as well.
I don't want to give the price of how much I can. I just want to see if what's the headset you recon me to use for, that is simple, good quality of sound and cheap (important).
Thanks.
Re: [Discussion] Gaming Headset - Good Price
i suggest checking the razor website
although they are a bit expensive sometimes they simply are the best when it comes to quality :P

Re: [Discussion] Gaming Headset - Good Price
It'd be nice to know what's your budget.
I have owned the Turtle Beaches x11 for about 2 years. They seemed like the best thing I've owned for my 360. Though after a while they did wear and tear, until the sound in the right ear completely stopped working. Have had a few friends who also reported the same problem. As well as reading about it occurring to other people.
All-in-all its great for a person who is starting out.
The Turtle Beaches X12s are an upgrade from the X11. It comes with a 50mm speaker and a added bass boost.
Trittons on the other hand are fairly durable. And I'm about to buy me the detonators which come in at a $80 price. And are officially licensed for the 360.
You got the AX 180 n AX120. Also both good for starting out.
Need to know anything else just ask.
Btw, X11 are $40?, X12 $60 (depends on place where you buy it).
Re: [Discussion] Gaming Headset - Good Price

Thank you for this, detailed post and really appreciate it.
Checked the x11 but this product has been discontinued so I guess x12 is the only option. For $59 and £38 (british) would be alright but, I think it's better if it's lower than this price because honestly, I don't really buy expensive stuff (I know it's not really expensive but for me, it is). Might get this one, but other suggestions will be appreciate more especially if it's cheaper.
I would like to see, if you can suggest me a good gaming headphone that cost £20-30 (40 max) would be great. Again, thanks.

Visited ebay and searched turtle beach x12 but it's now a new one. Also, I think it's bidding though (not sure, because I never bought something in ebay b4, that's why I have no idea about it). Thanks, anyway.
Re: [Discussion] Gaming Headset - Good Price
Astro A50/40.
Seriously.
Maybe a bit pricy but damn worth it.
Re: [Discussion] Gaming Headset - Good Price
I find the Astro headphones to be only for those audiophiles or those who participate in competitive gaming leagues. $250+ are what Astros go for.
Since you are looking to spend no more than $40, may I suggest the Rocketfish Universal Wired Headset. They seem to be the best bang for your buck under your conditions.
And later on if you have the extra money and want to get a "surround sound feel" instead of stereo, I highly recommend the Ear Force DSS1. This simulates your headset to a Virtual Surround Sound, giving you more over the edge against opponents.
Re: [Discussion] Gaming Headset - Good Price
I got Platronics GameCom 780 with 7.1 Surround sound. Sick shit. Nowadays everyone talking about Beach Turtle gaming headphones. I am not sure how good they are, but they are fairly common among the gamers now.
Here, check this link: Xbox 360 Gaming Headsets | Turtle Beach

Just get these.. you won't regret it.
Re: [Discussion] Gaming Headset - Good Price
Though turtle beaches are good entry-level stereo gaming headsets. I would stay away from it. There are much better headsets on the market for about the same price.
Re: [Discussion] Gaming Headset - Good Price
As a pc and console gamer myself I use speakers.
And I use this headset with mic.

VERY CHEAP HONESTLY compared to those razer and steel series headsets.
Re: [Discussion] Gaming Headset - Good Price
Steel series Siberia v2 Xbox 360 headset price ranges depending on the color. You can get one for about $85 solid.

For pc gaming and Xbox360 i still recommend Razer but for Ps3 i recommend using the official microphone/headset earpiece from
sony playstation
as for the prices:
Razer goes for 59 euros to about 200 euros in range
and the official earpiece for the Ps3 costs 50-60 euros
^^
Re: [Discussion] Gaming Headset - Good Price
You have more than enough companies that create headsets compatible with the PC and Xbox 360 for half the price of Razer. Don't know why people are hell bent on it. I mean if your going to fork out that much for the Xbox 360 headset, then you mite as well buy the Astro A40.
Re: [Discussion] Gaming Headset - Good Price
Found TB x12 in eBay. But there's Grade A (for £35) that is now Ended and Grade B (for £28) that is available but I have no idea, why Grade A is ended and B isn't. What's the difference between the 2 Grades?
About the Astro, sorry but those headphones are too expensive for me. Can't afford them. As I've said, I'm only looking for starter headphones are has a good quality (not best) and good price as cheap. Also, if I didn't mentioned before that a headset that has already a mic in it. (£40 / $60, max)
Thanks.
Re: [Discussion] Gaming Headset - Good Price
If I were you I would chose between Tritton AX 180 or the Rocketfish Universal Wired headset.
There's a video on YT between the Turtle beach X12 and Rocketfish Universal Wired headset comparison.
Re: [Discussion] Gaming Headset - Good Price
Might get those Rocketfish Universal one. Works for everything, good advantage itself. Going to ask my dad about them tonight. If he liked them, gonna straight to order and see.
Thanks vLife, if there are more better than these or other good ones, please let me know. Cheers, mate.
Re: [Discussion] Gaming Headset - Good Price
From all the reviews and researching I did. They do the job just right, and being an all-in-one at the same time. You should not be disappointed with them.
Re: [Discussion] Gaming Headset - Good Price
Alright, then. Thanks, for this and for your help. Going to order one of this, probably later tonight or tomorrow.
Johnny.
Re: [Discussion] Gaming Headset - Good Price
Glad to be of assistance.
