Re: [RELEASE] Pokemon DoD Source (German XNA Project)
This is a very good project. I can not imagine that you get to these files.
-
Re: [RELEASE] Pokemon DoD Source (German XNA Project)
The files are from the Creator.
Reason for make Public: No officially running Online Servers/.
DOES ANYONE MAKE TO RUN THE SERVER?
-
Re: [RELEASE] Pokemon DoD Source (German Pokemon XNA MMORPG Project)
It has not yet made up your files.

I'm pretty sure it's 2010, but the individual solutions seem to say it's not the right version... but it does compile...
I got the client working but the server.... negative

Re: [RELEASE] Pokemon DoD Source (German Pokemon XNA MMORPG Project)
Lots of things are missing so you pretty much can't use it I think. Remember that you also need XNA FrameWork for this to work

It's not worth anything. You can not build up.

Re: [RELEASE] Pokemon DoD Source (German Pokemon XNA MMORPG Project)
Engine, editors and client works by me ;)
Should i upload the compiled files with the libraries etc.?
-
Re: [RELEASE] Pokemon DoD Source (German Pokemon XNA MMORPG Project)
I would appreciate. I do not working.
What programs you use it? XNA 4.0 and Visual C# 2010?

Either way it's to do with the mapping in NHibernate, I haven't looked at the source and I don't have time to, but check out this blog post and you should be able to follow it back through the factory pattern, it should be in one of the concrete classes

Re: [RELEASE] Pokemon DoD Source (German Pokemon XNA MMORPG Project)
@DeathLord17 The Pokemon Dod Website Link you posted at the top is fake and NOT the official Pokemon Dod! The official DoD Creator said, that this Game is fake and maybe stealed from him.
*I uploaded the compiled Server, Client, Tools and "Test Engine" Look at my start thread post.

re: [RELEASE] Pokemon Dawn Src (German Pkmn XNA MMORPG Project)
This Project is NOT Pokemon Dawn of Darkness, its named Pokemon Dawn. Look at the client test, i think this will work on win8, the project uses Xna and the latest vb compenets..

If it's not DoD then it must be this
Pokemon Dawn - Day/Night Test - YouTube

Also your the one who called is Dawn of darkness so it's you fault for people assuming wrong.

even client test is not working on win8
-
re: [RELEASE] Pokemon Dawn Src (German Pkmn XNA MMORPG Project)
This might be why it doesn't work... Compiled in C# client and C++ for server.
Quote:
The client version is programmed completely in C # and XNA3 and later communicate with the browser version. This is currently on hold because our focus currently lies entirely on the browser version.
For the browser version, we are completely in HTML5 and Javascript. The complete graphics (except for the GUI), which we use in our game that is rendered on a canvas. The game logic, we then convert to Javascript or jQuery. The interface (GUI) is then placed over it with HTML and CSS.
The server on which the whole is then run, are based on C + +

This shouldn't be a problem, a lot of servers are written in C++ while the clients are written in alternative languages, a good example would be the SmartFox server which is able to take connections from C#, AS3, JAVA and a range of other languages.

re: [RELEASE] Pokemon Dawn Src (German Pkmn XNA MMORPG Project)
I found a way, to compile the Server. But in my opinion it is not a really nice way, to do it like this :ott1:
The known Problem is the EffectIdentifiers Column, which is a IList<int>.
The problem is, that this is a list of ints, so that you have to create a new Class
Lets Call it EffectIdentifier
Code:
namespace Dawn.Engine.Data.Attacks
{
public class EffectIdentifier : BaseData
{
public virtual int Identifier { get; set; }
}
}
For that we also need a Mapping Class
Code:
using Dawn.Engine.Data.Attacks;
using FluentNHibernate.Mapping;
namespace Dawn.Engine.Data.Access.Mappings.Attacks
{
public class EffectIdentifierMapping : ClassMap<EffectIdentifier>
{
public EffectIdentifierMapping()
{
Id(x => x.ID);
Map(x => x.Identifier);
}
}
}
Now there are some places where you have to replace the old integer with the new
AttackAction.cs
Code:
foreach (EffectIdentifier effectIdentifier in this.Attack.Base.EffectIdentifiers)
{
yield return this.EffectLinker.GetInstance(effectIdentifier.Identifier);
}
AttackData.cs
Code:
for (int i = 0; i < this.EffectIdentifiers.Count; i++)
{
output.Write(this.EffectIdentifiers[i].Identifier);
}
...
for (int i = 0; i < count; i++)
{
this.EffectIdentifiers.Add(new EffectIdentifier() { Identifier = input.ReadInt32()
}
Some other problems.
ExtensionManager.cs
Code:
public ISerializable Deserialize(BinaryInput input)
{
if (input.BaseStream.Position < input.BaseStream.Length)
{
int count = input.ReadInt32();
for (int i = 0; i < count; i++)
{
int key = input.ReadInt32();
Extension value = Serializer.Deserialize<Extension>(input);
this.values.Add(key, value);
}
}
return this;
}
I hope it will help and someone else will find a better way of doing this

Can you share compiled server ?
-
re: [RELEASE] Pokemon Dawn Src (German Pkmn XNA MMORPG Project)
The compiled server
Zippyshare
But there are some other problems...
E.g. The Database is not filled ...
EDIT:
i've forgotten to mention that i've changed the username of the database to "root2"
-
re: [RELEASE] Pokemon Dawn Src (German Pkmn XNA MMORPG Project)
Thank you for sharing, but you can create a new database...? All Tables etc. should be in the source, am i right?..
-
re: [RELEASE] Pokemon Dawn Src (German Pkmn XNA MMORPG Project)
The Database will be created on running the "Dawn.Testing.NHibernate".

What name for the Mapping Class, cause when i create the class, it apperars many erros..:D
-
re: [RELEASE] Pokemon Dawn Src (German Pkmn XNA MMORPG Project)
Classname "EffectIdentifier".
You have to create it at "Dawn.Engine.Data.Attacks"
Code:
namespace Dawn.Engine.Data.Attacks
{
public class EffectIdentifier : BaseData
{
public virtual int Identifier { get; set; }
}
}
Classname: "EffectIdentifierMapping"
You have to create it at "Dawn.Engine.Data.Access.Mappings.Attacks"
Code:
using Dawn.Engine.Data.Attacks;
using FluentNHibernate.Mapping;
namespace Dawn.Engine.Data.Access.Mappings.Attacks
{
public class EffectIdentifierMapping : ClassMap<EffectIdentifier>
{
public EffectIdentifierMapping()
{
Id(x => x.ID);
Map(x => x.Identifier);
}
}
}
I hope it will help ;)

i've added a Configuration file for the database connection ;)
EDIT: link fixed

re: [RELEASE] Pokemon Dawn Src (German Pkmn XNA MMORPG Project)
How to start:
1. Set "Dawn.Testing.NHibernate" as startproject und run it.
-> The database will be createt
2. Run the following command
Code:
INSERT INTO `dawn`.`playerdata` (
`ID` ,
`EntityID` ,
`ModelIndex` ,
`Username` ,
`Password` ,
`X` ,
`Y` ,
`Rank`
)
VALUES (
NULL , '1', '501', 'test', '098f6bcd4621d373cade4e832627b4f6 ', '5', '5', '4'
);
-> a User will be added.
Username: "test"
Password: "test"
3. Set "Dawn.Server" as startproject und run it
4. Start the client und fill the boxes with "test"
5. Press "Anmelden"
-> you should be logged in

You can login.
Then you enter a test map, where you can see all other logged in players.
i haven't tested more...
you don't have pokemons...
you can not battle...
but may be there is just missing a database table... i don't know :-P

Ok now it works only needed a restart :DD
So i'll publish The Full working Game now:

Server works, Client works, tools *maybe* work...
The Creator of the Game (Krissel) helped me create the server correctly (Teamviewer) :D.
My last question: How to edit the Maps?

Open the MapEditor...
Load a map project to edit...
NOTICE: you can not edit the compiled (*.map) map files.
To create a first map:
Open the editor... click "Resource Manager"
click "Laden"
choose the *.rcon files to load the tilesets and the models.
close it... click new ... start mapping :P
