Editing ShopItem.slk

Hey everyone I will be showing you how to edit ShopItem.slk and for those who don't what it is.
Just a note before we start I suggest downloading gnumeric for editing .slk's. ShopItem.slk is a list of items for each NPC Shop such as Gaya, Sylla, Cole, etc. I will upload my custom Shopitem.slk at the end so you can compare the original and mine. Ok first you are going to want to open item.slk to see all available items that can be put in shops. Now open NPC.slk so you can see which NPC ShopItem.slk is refering to. Open ShopItem.slk and you will see all the item id's then to the right are the NPC id's. Don't worry about anything to the right of price column unless you feel like adding descriptions to the items. Its farely simply to edit just look at item.slk to find the item you want to add and at NPC.slk to find the NPC you want the item to. Then go in ShopItem.slk to NPC you want or need and change accordingly.

I think the shopitem is the most complex slk file I work on. If only I know what CreditID is.. ConCreditValue has to do with rep ingame, lets say I want to add Thanatos Weapon its should 19603 1504 0 0 0 0 (itemid, npcid, type, creditid, price, concreditid, concreditvalue)
I notice that if you leave it 0 0 0 0 it would say 25 soulgem or w/e but if you add 1 to type ex. 1 0 0 0 it make the npc that sell that weapon free. If I tried to put 1 in concreditvalue it would say you do not have enough rep ex. 0 0 0 1, am guessing that type, creditid, price, concreditid, concreditvalue has a value but if only we know the value. Then again I might be wrong.

Thanks for the insight I haven't done much editing to ShopItem.slk yet I'm still working on other more important things atm

Some items will require you to change the "Item-Currency" (Like Diamond Coins, Medal of Triumph, other items) in item.slk, as well, on the line of the item you're selling from an npc. Usually it works just by changing it in ShopItem, but in case it doesn't work, keep what I said in mind. Usually the safest bet is to modify those values in both Item.Slk and ShopItem.slk.

Wow I never thought it was right in front of my face, that make sence now. LeRaz0r you full of mystery, or should I say someone that give out hint and we just solve the rest. +1

I'm not a mystery. I created BOI-Evolution.

I don't mind helping at all, just some of the parts that has been requested/spoken about are things that are yet to be solved even on our end, which is why I dislike sharing it too "early" so to speak.

is it possible to rewrite the whole item.slk? I ask this because some of these items are mostly the same just different item ID, and I notice that some items that you try to make the npc sell will either show up a 1coins/25 soulgem etc etc is it possible to change it as well or its not able to atm.

The entirety of Item.Slk would be a waste of time, but things can be changed. Removing items will not work, as they're also tied to the client. Even changing their IDs can be proven troublesome. You can for example change the name of the items, tho. If you do it in Item.Slk, String.Slk and also Clientsided itemstring.txt/ini can't remember.

And yes, they'll show up as 1 coin in the shops but the actual value taken away from the player is the values stated in the Item.slk + Shopitem.slk. It shows 1 coin because it's not changed in the client.

Sorry I meant to say that also in tutorial a fine example would be your server. An Npc on your server sells Gm items for "1 coin" but when you try to buy them you cant

Yes, it says 1 Coin still because we haven't done much client work. Had to work on WOI for a while now. :P

Have you figured out the way Monster/Boss drops work yet or should I explain that in a new thread?

I have partially figured out how it is configured but I wouldn't mind a little insight
