Texas has done it again...
Sex scandal brings five year sentence for North Texas teacher | khou.com Houston
Sure, let's put someone in jail for 5 years for having sex with 18 year olds, yes it's wrong to go about it that way, but come on, 5 years...
Also this is crushing the hope of all guys in school hoping to fuck their teacher...
Re: Texas has done it again...
Having sex in 18 with your hot teacher is illegal ?
what is wrong with those people
Re: Texas has done it again...
Bloody hell that's bad, isn't the age of consent 17 in Texas too?

Don't know, but I know this was perfectly legal. She got the 5 years because it's not allowed as a teacher to do it.
Re: Texas has done it again...
It's a good message sent to others, but 5 years? I think here you're out sooner for murder, lol.
I think when stuff like this happens at their own home it's really noones business, aslong both are adults ofcourse. The guys bragged about it so obviously they won't feel any regret of it happening. =P
A punishment like that would've been better if her teacher status was actually abused, but in this case it looks like it wasn't.

Obviously a teacher/student relationship is unacceptable, which is with pretty much with any job like that (social workers, doctors, superior officers in the army etc etc), however normally this results in you getting kicked from that line of work, obviously someone who does something like that should never be allowed to teach again, however putting them in jail is a completely different story.
Normally in a court of law aside from intent you need damage to convict someone, in this case there is no real damage, those guys don't feel like they were damaged (understandably :P), so that just leaves the school really, so have her pay a fine, let her do community service and never let her teach again.
Re: Texas has done it again...
Those are Texas laws for you. Like I said before, they have some of the most screwed up laws in the country. They aren't the only ones though. Quite a few states will send your ass to jail for having sex with your teach regardless of age. I mean come on, they ran a train on her ass. SHE'S the one at fault? It was like 5 guys and one teacher... Yea... she's really a fault here. I'd claim rape if I was her just to get out of that bullshit law.
Re: Texas has done it again...
Should've executed the Jezebel.

Re: Texas has done it again...
^ American students usually graduate at the age of 18.

You should read up on it, yeah she was at fault here, she seduced those 5 guys, she was in control. Basically the woman is a giant nympho who likes group sex, so does her husband and they have a open marriage. She obviously enjoyed the power of having 5 of her students as her sex pets.
In the end though, all agreed on it and enjoyed it, regardless what society thinks of it, there was no foul play there. However the fact that she was her teacher, is very wrong, your job as a teacher is something different from being a sex addict, she should have kept them seperate.
Again though, I do not see how this resulted in jail time.

Lots do, it's really quite normal in lots of countries. That said, this doesn't mean most of them aren't done with high school, but quite a few people finish at 18.
Besides, how do you call someone who teaches you at college/university? I still call them teachers and having sex with them is still not alright. I can definitely see how it does happen though, seen a few very nice ones over the years including some of my own age.
Re: Texas has done it again...
I honestly don't see anything wrong with consensual sexual and non-sexual relationships with teachers and students.
Re: Texas has done it again...
She should have been forced to pay a fine, and banned from working with minors for the rest of her life, not fucking raped in jail.

Re: Texas has done it again...
It is supposedly unprofessional for a teacher to have a relationship with one of their students.

Since when was cheating on your husband illegal? She deserves no jail time. I live in Texas, and the age is 18 (not 17 as previously stated), All that should've been done is her fired and not been able to teach ever again, at MOST a little fine. I see where people are coming from when they say the relationship could be unfair to other students, but schools check this sort of thing. It's not like she can give an A when the guy has wrong answers, and English classes in Texas have to use pen, or atleast in North Texas. Therefore, she couldn't correct the test, and if she was telling them answers other students would see & report her. Consensual sex between a student of legal age and a teacher should not be illegal. There is nothing wrong with it.

Adultery isn't illegal.
Re: Texas has done it again...
I remember when my old P.E teacher resigned after a sex scandal with another sixth former, he didn't get fired. He left himself and certainly didn't get arrested.

It's not about that, it's about humanity, I don't want to get into religion since you guys will start hating and complaining, but, in Islam if you commit adultery "illegally" there are two punishments,
1.) if you're married, your punishment is stoning to death.
2.) if you're not married, your punishment is a flog with a hundred stripes.
" The woman and the man guilty of illegal sexual intercourse, flog each of them with a hundred stripes. Let not pity withhold you in their case, in a punishment prescribed by Allah, if you believe in Allah and the Last Day. And let a party of the believers witness their punishment. (This punishment is for unmarried persons guilty of the above crime but if married persons commit it, the punishment is to stone them to death, according to Allah's Law)." Surah Noor (2)

Relax guys, it's one year per a student.

So you can see from that basic example how it can get more and more complicated and create tons of issues. It's just a lot simpler and fair to just say strictly no relationships allowed.
I hope that makes sense and explains a little why relationships are not allowed. They have extra rules for relatives as well for similar reasons of advantages of relations.
Oh yeah, definitely. I agree with you there. But as far as prison time, that's completely wrong.

It wasn't really cheating, they were swingers, that's what they have been doing their whole marriage, have sex with others.

You claim you don't want to get into religion, but you clearly do. Your obvious BS is obvious.
Using religion to answer the questions for today is foolish, hell it was foolish back then as well. While I'm not familiar with the texts in the Quran, I know in the Bible in the old testament, it says a woman should be stoned to death if she gets raped in a city and doesn't scream for help.
Only idiots would want to use those words to dictate how society functions, this is also a reason why any decent country has a separation of church and state.
Really, don't bring such nonsense on the forums here, I know the old texts are extremely harsh and all that, there is a reason why we don't use them.
