[Other] Web Design Studio (possibly hosting) [PAID]
If you're on RaGEZONE, the odds are, you have a fair amount of computer experience. Whether it's knowledge of a video game and how it runs, complex coding languages like Perl, Java, C#, etc. or you've got a keen eye for good looking websites, there's something on the internet worth focusing on.
More and more so, there are websites offering companies a chance to show off simple projects for people like us, with a big pay off. What I'm speaking of, is freelancing. Juggernaut Studios (an impermanent name) will be a simple Web Design Studios with a snazzy .com/.net, a sleek, friendly, but sophisticated, well designed template, and staff of innovative, creative computer experts.
My Goal:
I'd really like to turn this into something. Websites like these can make buckets of cash if those who run them have the know how and initiative. There's a wide market out there and I've already got my sights set on a few places. This company will be a large project, like maybe one day working in-person.
The Cons:
At the moment, I've little start-up. In terms of disposable cash; I'm broke. This means in the beginning of the project, payment will come slow. Like a month or so, if even that.
This con is only a minor speed-bump. With a little dedication and enthusiasm, we could have a website up and running in a week. There are hundreds and hundreds of free web hosting services out there that offer simple urls, and the amount of bandwidth we need. I know a few good places to look for work, take little time, and will be a breeze for people with our skills.
Expected Abilities:
(Not required, but preferred)
- Very fluent in HTML, CSS, PHP, MySQL, jQuery or Javscript
- English preferrably your first language (if it's your second and you're fluent, much better)
- A fairly large amount of time on your hands, or the ability to do a lot in a little time
- Enthusiastic, creative, cooperative, innovative, etc.
- Knowledge of industry/market and potential resources
- Basically, something to bring to the table, not just the willingness to sit back and make $$
Positions Available:
These aren't set in stone, your title can be as you please, these are merely examples that state resposibilities
- Co-founders
This is a BIG responsibility. This isn't some low-grade, childish private server, this is a business. Hopefully one day, because of this title, you can put it on a professional resume or a personal business card. It will require a large amount of your time, dedication and focus.
- Design Artists
The pay for this position is no less than the founder(s). For every completed project by the studio, I will be keeping thorough records of each transaction and making them viewable to all employees. (Personal information on my part withheld.)
Design artists responsibilities include, but are not limited to; designing templates for businesses of various markets and desired features, sample templates for the studio's portfolio, assisting with the studio's portfolio and website itself, coding PSD's to functional, professional templates.
- Web-Application Engineer
Once again, this position has the same pay as the founder(s). Depending on certain projects and their complexity, Web-Application Engineers will make a larger portion (and for projects done completely by a Web-Application Engineer, they will receive the entire payment).
Their main focus and responsibilities will be coding from scratch applications like jQuery slideshows, shopping carts for certain websites, image galleries based on a customer's desired template, and a variety of simple features for websites.
- Server Technicians/Managers
(Unneeded at the moment, but available)
Until and unless we ever have servers to work with, server technicians are unneeded, but their responsibilities will include managing and configuring servers (this will be via the web, unless we purchase servers to be physically maintained by myself), and basically all operations involved with servers and hosting.
What I'm Offering
Experience. Resources. Money. Everything about this kind of business has a benefit. You may have experience, thorough skills and an exceptional sense of creativity, but coding emulators to run private servers for a few visitors isn't something that companies, who need your skills for their image, are going to look at. If you can handle this kind of work, having an image like Juggernaut Studios to back you up is a good start.
Each employee will have an entire page for themselves to display their completed projects, websites, templates and applications.
Bottom-line
Juggernaut Studios to me is a launching point. To have a company with clientele and have your foot in the door is a big step, much better so with a good pay-day. Working together, that's what we could have. Don't let the big words scare you off. A company, or studio if you will, looks much better with a professional, organized and sophisticated image. That's all companies are these days, their image. What I'm personally looking for is experience and knowledge. This is a big industry, and the way technology is moving, it's only getting bigger. My goal is to stay caught up with everything these days, not fall behind like generations before us have. I want Juggernaut studios to be something I can use as a reference, make some friends, broaden my skills and fill my head with knowledge. Oh don't forget the money. There are small companies out there with big pockets who need easy stuff done. Stuff we do because we're bored.
This isn't just for fun, it's to make money easily, legally and professionally. As I said however, I push to maintain a professional image, but I am in it for the fun of it and to gain some acquaintances.
The Money Part
As I said, money is a plus, but I'm not overly-focused on it. However, all financial transactions will be handled by myself. If you are not okay with this rule, I apologize but it is not changing. For every completed project, each employee will be payed in accordance to their contribution. As manager, with projects I contribute to (talk with clients, handle and organize projects) I will be taking a small commission. On projects completed almost entirely by employees other than founders, they will receive the entire payment.
About Myself
I'm sure by now (or at least I hope) you've assumed I'm an experienced adult. Currently, I'm an 18 year old sophomore in college, studying for my Bachelors in Computer Science. As they say "Don't judge a book by it's cover"; don't take my age as a deciding factor. I've a lot ideas and a lot of ideas to turn those ideas into something. I show a lot emphasis on the money part of this project, but trust me, I'm in it more for the experience, references and knowledge.

I'd consult at $100/hr or $50/hr if > 8 hours.
Re: [Other] Web Design Studio (possibly hosting) [PAID]
Did you see that I won't be able to pay you until we can get things started? I'd be willing to pay your desired rate, if not more if you can help set-up the studio's website as well as a portfolio.
