if you use 2008 not need it
Re: Security your Server [Firewall Settings]
3306 , if you block this port and use dedi with remote desktop, cant log again to server.
in that case is better to limit RDP port to your ip only (if you have static ip)

Re: Security your Server [Firewall Settings]
rename topic to Sercurity your server 1x gs...
15880, 15882,1433 if u block this ports second machine, agent,gs cant connect to certification
Re: Security your Server [Firewall Settings]
To secure 2 gameserver +, you need to add an exception to the specific ip or ip range of the 2nd or 3rd or wte server.
Example:
Server "Alpha": ip = 1.1.1.1
- Do everything in the above post
- Add another exception to allow everything or 'specific ports & programs' to the firewall
- If the server is local host, then you just add exception to localhost "server must be on the same rack"
- If the server is not localhost, you need to add the physical ip to the exception list!
Server "Beta": ip = 2.2.2.2
- Option 1) Keep firewall disabled - since no one will figure out this ip :P
- Option 2) Block everything + allow an exception to server ALPHA
-------------------------
What i do for all the servers i setup is "i setup over 80 silkroad servers >.<"
1) Block all connections "make sure you dont lock yourself out -.-"
2) Allow port 80 and ftp to public
3) Allow everything else to 2nd, 3rd, 4th machine! "using ip or private"
Hope that explains how it works :P
