They won't be shared for reasons, was also the reason I was hesitant to even release pre-gof files because of how the community reacts. Though I did it anyways to help support the community and development.
So no where you can not take War of Immortals server =(((

I totally agree with that. Many people rather play offline than making the server for others to play. And those playing offline don't have knowledge of creating a server at all and they keep asking why this and that doesn't work. There is a topic on the "other forum" having 97 pages and most of them are questions why things don't work. Actually the first 40 pages already explain every single problem.Quote:

I don't agree with that, there's a bunch people that actually have the knowledge and are real programmers/developers that don't care to set up private servers because they do actually work and earn money from real jobs. They're just here for the fun of it.
The real reason why they don't share the files it's because, as Mental said, the money involved in it. I don't really see any other reason.
What you would qualify as a "real" programmer / developer may differ from others, most of Ragezone is filled with leechers who want a simple hand out, as you can see even with the PWI section anyone can now just pick up a server and start one which causes a lot of issues for certain servers, competition, (D)DOS, idle threats an the latter. It's a bit sad for the community, but I don't plan on releasing any more files due to this case.Quote:

I didn't say it so you or someone else would release the files, I'm happy with just this release and more with the ones including source code in the mmorpg extra forum but sometimes I don't understand why people say that they have some "game" server files but don't release them.
I have Lost Omen WOI Files, they missing some things but they're working.
Just haven't got the time yet to open a server for it.
