Pogs

I remember pogs. They were awesome and I don't know why. If you are too young to know what pogs are, they were like the pokemon trading cards of the early 90's. Except they weren't cards. They were pogs.

I must have had over 500 pogs at one time. We all kept them in those plastic tubes. And I had one really thick slammer.

The last time I remember playing was in second or third grade.

Too bad the fad died :'<

I used to LOVE pogs, we got them in crisp packets when i was a kid :D

I used to collect Pogs lol. They were quality.

Remember people used to moan when I used my metal slammer when their 'shiny' rare pogs were on top of the stack.

"You'll scratch my shiny!!!!!" *Cry*

haha they were class, and psh at using a metally das cheatin!!!!

i used to get 4 or 5 slammers and cellotape them together, pwned :P

didnt ya used to have to flip them onto their baks to win them aye? i cant remember lol

we used to get metal slammers taken off us :( but pogs did rule!

i used to get so many pogs of different kinds, got a few slammers. I started to love them so much i got a pog maker so i can create my own.

it was fun but they all gone now, threw them out with the rest of my old toys >.<

yeah, i think so. Everyone oyu turned over was like a point for you/yours can't really remember very well. Then the game just went on till all the pogs were taken.

I collected the slammers.

i had about 100 walkers crisps ones and a "friend" stole them, when i was at his place i found his pogs, what he didnt know is i wrote my initials on the top of my pogs and woola, his pogs has my initials on, so i super kicked him in the face and went home!

i was 10 when i got my first then a bunch of 14 yr olds came and swiped em... bastards

i had a shoebox full of them... i used to be a serious pogger... i had only 17 slammers though... :P

What was special about pogs was that why were actually playable in a fun simple way, unlike pokemon cards... pokemon cards were so hard to play with thae eventually all that was happening was collecting and trading...

pogs on the other hands u could collect, trade, play for fun, play for pogs, gamble for pogs, etc :) much much fun until one day my mom gave them to my cousin just liek she gives him everything else i had

i was addicted to marbles at 1 point....i had sooooo many but then they disappeared...

I over did the whole pog thing. Had 50 slammers and 1000+ pogs. What a waist of money when I look back on it. Didn't even play the game.

I have a habbit of doing that to be honest. I've collected lots of stuff but never really used them as they were ment. Just tend to collect stuff for the hell of it.

the starwars ones are u talkin about? ;o starwars I think it is, i had the whole book full of em, still lurkin around in the house i think

there were all sorts of pogs, back then it was a massive craze.
my favourite slammer was either the metal slammer ot the football mirlin slammers :P

im gonna turn 16 soon.. when i was at the age of pongs they had power ranger stickers on them :S u guys had star wars and all those lol

My cousin collected dragon ball z pogs, but i never got into them. They seemed boring tbh
