problem with items

ive added items to the .shn on both client and server, it doesnt crash now ( took me a few tries)
but when i go in game and try to make that item, i dont get an error, nothing shows up in inventory. ive also added the .nif to the resitem folder in the client.

well i got one item, but now when i add anymore, i get errors on other items, i didnt change. and my zones wont stay started.

ive checked, gradeitemoption, iteminfo, iteminfoserver, and itemviewinfo, and the giantgblking.... is fine, i changed nothing on that one.

Did you also edit the ItemViewInfo.shn in the client?

i edited gradeitemoption, iteminfo, itemviewinfo on the client,
and grade, iteminfo, iteminfoserver, and itemview on teh server.
and added the .nif to the resitem folder

Did you add the Icon?
Did you add the .DDS? ( Texture )
Is everything added correctly.

You would see it in your inventory so one step at a time.

I purposely left that post with that much info, so he would need to work something out himself.

check your item ID? make sure they match xD Sometimes they ID can be changed like that just from adding something. :#

use a lower item id and see if that fixes it.

Advice's on shn work:
1.Have Backups.
2.Backups will help you spot problems faster,just by adding again the "black"item.
3.Compare the shn in sql.
4.Other shn readers/editors read somthing else,other something else.If its older you might don't recive all the information from what shn.
5.Delete the "Hammer",so you can see if the problem item changes to another id/item or it will solve.
6.Adding a icon does not matter too much,if you won't do it,in-game you will see a white box or you wont be able to see nothing,but hovering mouse above the item will show you information and statuses of the respective item OR redirect the icon to random.But as the log says what to do it isn't the icon.
7.Don't edit more files then "Iteminfoserver,Iteminfo and optionaly ItemViewinfo" before you runned a check of the fresh item.

okay i used a lower number and it let me add the item, and start the zones, but now it wont show up in game :/
i have the itemviewinfo with icon, and right nif/dds, right name, but nothing shows up in my inventory. and nothing shows up in the database either. (the dbo.item table)

try restarting your whole server. if that doesnt work you didnt add something right or the graphics arnt in the right spot or w/e
