Hi, i wanted to ask how do you guys get a hold on the structure of the data files, how do you check where it says what ? what kind of program or logic do you use?
I can program in java and in c sharp

P.S. asking cause i want to start my self to do some of these tools ( for the data types )or to be able to help making them

People find the structure out by inspecting it with a hex editor and sitting down for ages working out what everything does.
Most of the time making a tool is spent on working out how to parse it.
Luckily for us most files have already been parsed and there is a huge amount of them available in the sTools source.
If you are super skilled you can also extract the labeled structure for some files from the server itself.
There is also alot of structures, labels and comments for stuff inside the elementclient source code, though this isn't public shareware. (see other thread)
