Hi,
Im 14 and Im looking for a part-time job for after school just for some extra cash,
I do have a cover paper round what i applied for in the summer holidays, Im only doing holiday cover for that and I did it 3 times making a total of £30 for the 3 lots.
Im just wondering whats the best job for the best wage.
Become a paper boy?
Not many jobs for ages of 14, most would be under the table.
Not sure if you could qualify for anything other than being a paper boy. Babysitting? Unlikely.

Why do all young children think having a job is so marvellous? The gritting truth is, it’s not. There is no legal minimum wage for you, there is no union protection and to be honest you don’t pay tax either.
At 16 I got a job at Primark, I worked there for two years of my life and every day I felt the need to kill myself because it was so soul crushing, after the glitz and glamour wear off you realise that your stuck in a dead-end job that pays useless wages.
Your best bet? Forget about finding a serious job, you’re not mature enough for them just yet. Just get a paper round, and stay at school. You have years to grow up, and you’ll never get the most important ones back.
I don't think its marvelous , I just want some of my own money so I don't have to beg parents for money.

If you have a lawnmower, take it around your neighborhood or where ever and offer to mow grass at a decent price. Too bad winter is coming..
Instead of railway traks? You could take boiler systems from empty houses and sell them on for copper. I remember doing it once when i was 15, but the police came, and as stupid as we was we threw the boiler out of the front upstairs window.

Not entirely true unfortunately, in today’s world a job is worthless if it’s not cost effective. I could be offered a job tomorrow that pays me £45K a year that’s 35-miles extra to commute, in the end the unfortunate truth is that it’s not cost effective for me to do. You have to weigh up your incomings, outgoings and costs of travels as well as unpaid time spent commuting. Swallow your "pride" and get over it, parents are the ones that give you the money, you should let if flow by itself, don't get a job now.
Why ?
You'll lose time working for a shitjob, in that time you could learn about new things such as being a web developer/entrepreneur/business man/doctor/anything you like... Study something you like.
^ That will grant you a shitload of money in the future, after you've learned anything you could and practiced a lot, 'course it all takes a specific mindset, being those things (Succesfully speaking) is really a great achievement (Doctors get paid a shitton of money - judging by the UK/US standards - not to count what they get from the people, haha.)
There are always opportunities, just use time wisely.
A wise guy once told me that "the more money you have, the more time you have". Just learn to do something great and train hard for it, rewards come along.
Don't waste your time unconsicously.
Or just start selling drugs.
Or..become a Pimp.
Can you play guitar or any instruments, can you sing. If so then you can go busking. That could get you some money .
