The Best Borderlands 2 Class
Anyone here a fan of Borderlands?
Borderlands 2 is finally out and there's a lot of awesome classes.
Axton the Commando / Soldier
Maya the Siren
Salvador the Gunzerker
Zer0 / Zero the Assassin
Gaige the Mechromancer (unlockable via DLC or if you had preordered)
What do you guys think the best class is?
Reportedly, it is Maya the Siren:
The Best Class in Borderlands 2
Since she has a high rate of fire and lots of elemental damage.
I like the Gunzerker though since he has two guns. Axton the commando is pretty cool too if you're feeling lazy -- since all you have to do is deploy your turrets, then you can go to sleep =p
Am looking forward to seeing the Mechromancer class in action though. It's suppose to be good for soloing and even as a support class.
Re: The Best Borderlands 2 Class
Zero at a high level. Because he stacks on massive crit bonus damage and because his special ability can level an entire field of enemies in seconds while never having any real threat of taking damage.
Re: The Best Borderlands 2 Class
The Commando suits me perfectly, cause I AM lazy... :D
Re: The Best Borderlands 2 Class
I do not know exactly as I have the game here still boxed/packed (xbox 360) version.. But I'd say it's Maya's.
Just to notice I am a fan of Borderlands, I've got platinum on the Borderlands (PS3) version.
Re: The Best Borderlands 2 Class
From my limited time on the game, the Commando is ridiculously OP. Drop turret, hide, boss dies. My basic strategy so far in the game.
I tried Maya, but a short stun seemed a bit lame compared to... well every other classes mechanic, really. Maybe shes better with a group of 4, idk, solo all she really gets is the 30% elemental proc chance. Which is nice, granted, but doesn't make up for the crappy stun thing.
Re: The Best Borderlands 2 Class
yeah with a group she's really better. I don't like to play SOLO, I always played co-op.
Re: The Best Borderlands 2 Class
Co-op is definitely the way to go for this game.
Fighting crawmerax with a group of people in the first Borderlands was fun as hell. I hear there is an equivalent strong monster in Borderlands 2 as well.

That is EXACTLY...what I do :x
Re: The Best Borderlands 2 Class
I'm now doing over 100k damage on crits at level 30.
Re: The Best Borderlands 2 Class
Re: The Best Borderlands 2 Class
Commando, as Robert said, it's OP, so it's pretty easy.
Re: The Best Borderlands 2 Class
I'm playing Siren.. so far (lvl 13) i didn't die too much and i don't have problem killing enemies.
but... my first try was with zer0 and he sucks low lvl...
*** have you noticed that baddass stats remain on all chars?
Re: The Best Borderlands 2 Class
Yup -- badass points are shared throughout all characters. I have a bit over 1000 at the moment. Gotta love the bonuses!
Anyway, I'm now a level 16 or 17 Siren. My commando is level 12.
When the Mechromancer class becomes available though, I may have to make a third character. It sounds like a pretty unique class!
Re: The Best Borderlands 2 Class
Dude, I wanna get this game so damn badly!
So many good games been coming out!
Re: The Best Borderlands 2 Class
Hmmm lvl 25 Siren now... omg this game is fun like heLLLLL...
Too many WTF moments (story quests only)....
P.S. How many times have you done this? :
- Too many monsters around , shields and hp gone
- Get in second wind mode
- Switch to the newly picked up rocket launcher
- Kill all monsters
- Reload... and carelessly aim at the ground... then you see that is a Tediore launcher :D
Re: The Best Borderlands 2 Class
I'm playing it with a buddy but we're moving slow, like lvl 10 now :( Just don't wanna play it singleplayer any further than we've got together, don't wanna ruin the experience,

Lol. Story of my LIFE!

So I recently had my Siren's saved data wiped out (damnit!) and have decided it's time to start a Mechromancer!
Anyone using Gaige yet? I'm following this build for her:
Borderlands 2 Best Solo Build for Mechromancer
She's definitely powerful. It's a good Anarchy build that makes use of her class abilities very well. I can solo like a champ =p And duo or larger parties work well too of course.
Re: The Best Borderlands 2 Class
In Borderlands 2 , you don't scream at weapons... The weapons scream at you ...
It might not have any sense but it will make sense when you reach @28 lvl.

LOL. That weapon WAS evil. I remember getting it *shudders*.
If it wasn't so annoying, it would be powerful.
On a positive note (way more positive than the aforementioned weapon :x) -- my Siren's data somehow resurrected itself. Woot woot. So I'll be done with Playthrough 1 soon. Then I gotta do Playthrough 2.
And when I finally get high enough in level, I'm going to try some boss hunting.
There are two big bosses in this game. With Terramorphous being the well-known secret boss.
Borderlands 2: How to Kill Terramorphous the Invincible
There's a monster even harder than him though. It has double the life too! It isn't as well-known.
Borderlands 2: Vermivorous The Invincible - harder than Terramorphous the Invincible
