Re: Doctor who - Season 7 (Spoilers)
5th Episode is worth a watch yes, it is sad, amazing and enjoyable all at the same time.
Re: Doctor who - Season 7 (Spoilers)
Doctor Who is nothing compared to the older seasons with Russell T Davis and David Tennant. Moffat is killing it.

You sir are a fool o-o, Moffat wrote episodes since Christopher Eccleston era( so he wrote some with David Tennant too ) and imho he's a genius.

As much as I liked David Tennant, RTD sucked bad. The only decent thing he did for Dr Who was bring it back. Love and Monsters? WTF was he thinking!
Moffat on the other hands in awesome. He has written most of the best episodes, that have won many awards. That's why he was given the lead.
As for referring to RTD as the older seasons, just sigh. That alone makes your opinion void. Hell most of what RTD did was pull up old enemies from the old seasons. Darleks and Cybermen were recycled how many times by him?...

I'd suggest starting watching from season 5. It's when the new doctor really started, and is pretty fantastic.
But yeah, Dr Who tends to be a love it or hate it kind of program.

Or season 2 ! David did an amazing job too and he's still my favorite Doctor.

The problem with that is while there are some great episodes, there are some complete shit ones too. Again, Love and Monsters. Plus Rose sucks!
Starting on S5 is more consistent. If he likes it he has 1-4 of the current series, and like 26 seasons of the old series.

Really not, it’s a matter of opinion not fact. Moffat is constantly working on Sherlock and is letting Doctor Who take a back seat, did you see that happen with RTD? Oh, no you didn’t. Whilst RTD was there did you see the episodes split-up for a break? Oh, once again no you didn’t.

So Moffat is a bad writer because the series takes breaks..ok.

You probably want to blame American TV producers for that. Many shows have started to split seasons in two with the logic that having two shorter breaks retains more viewers than one very long break. Plus it lets them have two cliff hanger episodes! Also they often sell the DVDs are two half seasons, to try and double the profits of those sales.
As for Moffat spending too much time on Sherlock (which is also an awesome series!) he's only written one episode per seasons for it, which granted in a 3 episode season is 33% of it, but still, not that much time spent! I'd bet it took him longer to cowrite Tintin. It's common for writers to have multiple things going on anyway. RTD was working on Torchwood and the Sarah Jane show while writing after all.
