Sus this
Three guys are travelling together, but they're pretty cheap so one night they find a little motel and get one room and split the cost. The clerk tells them the room is $30, so each guy pays $10.
Later on that night, the clerk realizes the rate was recently changed to $25, so he overcharged the guys. Knowing that you can't split $5 easily among three people, the clerk keeps $2 for himself and returns $3 to the guys (and tells them the room was $27).
So now each guy paid $9 for the room. $9*3 = $27. The clerk kept $2, for a total of $29. Where did the last dollar go?
