Windows 8 - Maybe Just Maybe Yes
As many of you know windows 8 has not been shown much love due to its design structure sadly being based to greatly on a touch pad.[windows 8 is great as a tablet model in metro].
With this said and noticing that windows 7 is still under the hood I wanted to know could windows 8 actually be made to work for a windows market with out loosing the metro style and keeping in line with the basis.
Here is what I have managed to do so far in regard to making windows 8 work better for a pc in metro.
Day 1,
Retaking the start menu back and bring back easy ways to see active apps.
As you can see from the image below the start menu has returned but now in a metro panel style at the bottom. With this done I made open apps now appear along side the start menu to start to produce an active app taskbar. Some thing I think is needed in windows 8 rather than the silly method currently used. As you can see I managed to keep the style of metro and keep new apps in panels with spacing. Active apps that have sub folders or say msn or message where you may have multipul messages open will appear as a smaller box inside the origanal box is a different colour. I also made the clock now appear as an app but the clock can be locked to the far left or right with changeable backgrounds.

Day 2,
So today was working how to make the start menu. I decided to use the already built in system / app panel that comes with windows 8 metro and push it over to the far left where it now acts as a start menu. Also I am thinking that a good idea was a scroll bar for apps also but to be able to see the scrollers position better I added a white box so you know how far you can scroll. Also above apps would be a shut down button to put your pc to sleep hybernate or turn off.

So far simple changes but some how it seems to be far more better structure for a pc but something that can easily work for an tablet also.
