Most memorable MMORPG's for you and why?
Most memorable MMORPG's for you and why?
I’ll start with my list:
Ragnarok – that was teh first MMO that I played
L2 – because of the intense PK and PvP on that game
Requiem – twas very unique with its bloody features that it distinguishes that game with other mmorpgs ( until now)
WoW (private server) – the community where I played wow was so massive. PvP, arenas and battlegrounds are always full
Maestia (current) – this game is like a combination of allods and wow. The unique feature of maestia is that they have two types of quest system.
i hope i'm on the right section nao :thumbup1:

The most memorable MMORPG for me is Mu Online.
Mainly because, I used to play on a cafe where it has more than 200+ PC units all playing MU. And the feeling being at the same level as everyone and how competitive they are was really festive and fun.
And for addition, I was known there for being the first person to create a Dinorant.

World of Warcraft , as I consider it an artwork. The music , the environments simply make you feel like you are actually there. The community , the guilds , and tons of friends you can make just by joining raids. Spent countless hours doing countless quests , and enjoyed every minute of it. In fact , it's the only MMORPG that has tons of side quests , that actually make sense.

Re: Most memorable MMORPG's for you and why?
For me it has to the The legend of Mir 2 (and 3 but mostly 2), it was the 1st MMO I had played since trying a few text based MUD's. I instantly fell in love with the whole experience, even though the European servers were much smaller than the Asian (by about 100x) I had some great years playing that game on official and private servers.
After the mir days were really over I played a lot of others but they never felt the same. I had some great experiences on MU when it 1st came out over here, even getting on the official server 2 or 3 days early through a little known exploit at the time. But I was quickly put off by botters, even though it was fun killing the crap out of them for a while.
Had plenty of fun with my RZ buddies playing different MMOs but the next to stand out in my mind is Warhammer Online. I just loved the PvP and how you could level from 1-40 (max at the time) through only PvP if you chose, you could solo or group quest and I had never seen the public quest system before where you could enter an area and there would be a quest happening, you could stay and help with the chance of progressing to a boss or go on your way. It was the 1st game where I used a program to help me play, as a healer I used the curse client to help with selecting team mates.

Re: Most memorable MMORPG's for you and why?
As a little kid, I loved playing Toontown Online.
But MapleStory has to be the next biggest MMORPG that impacted my life. Still love it to this day, but I don't play the official server anymore. It's trash now.
Runescape was also really fun for me, at least back when it was awesome (before the crap 2007 patch that practically ruined the game).
That's basically it for my top MMORPGs, though I have played some others and they were fun, but these ones above were the ones that impacted my life the most.

Re: Most memorable MMORPG's for you and why?
RuneScape was the first MMORPG I ever played back when the current RS didn't exist and was the most fun playing with friends from school and going on PK trips as the "death dot" ;).

Re: Most memorable MMORPG's for you and why?
@_@ NOSTALGIA INCOMING!!
My first MMORPG was FlyFF... oh gosh I still remember logging into the game for the first time, killing few aibatts and thinking "Heck yeah! I level so fast! I'll be rich in no time!". Then I discovered that as your level increases, your exp gain decreases :o
Then I discovered that aibatts are not the only monsters in the game :D And as I explored flaris, fallen thru broken bridge, got killed by giant bang *res pliz* and spent hours trying to find the book of technique... I fallen in love with that game @_@
Love continued till v7 with my lvl 104 blade and never separating dual-client FS RM lvl 85.

Re: Most memorable MMORPG's for you and why?
Ohhhhhhh Flyff... It was a shitty game but god knows how I loved it. All this nostalgia I'm feeling right now it's amazing.
I guess the competition of being the highest level with the shiniest items made it so damn addictive :D It's funny how we couldn't give less shit about graphics back in the days.
Hell, I stood there, in front of my PC, all day just clicking at monsters to get some levels, I'd get 0.03% per mob and I didn't care, as long as I got those levels.
Fuck yeah Flyff, fuck yeah!

Oh yeah man I feel yah! I never reached such a high level in official servers :D, when there were no Azria, you had to level at Luia and shit lol. But never failed to keep me awake night time... Good old fucking days

But yeah... FlyFF was painfully primitive but inappropriately addictive!

Re: Most memorable MMORPG's for you and why?

Re: Most memorable MMORPG's for you and why?
