Hi All,
I ran a hotel with this for a few weeks and now im releasing it because i realized i dont have the patience for retros anymore (as i suspected).
What is Woodpecker (by IRetros):
Woodpecker is a v13 Emulator based on Thor project and written in C# by Nillus in 2008. At first,it was a private server and the most wanted Emulator of the age. It was supposed to be used at first for an official RageZONE Hotel, but after the project was sold off by Nillus. Is not a complete and perfect server, but provides a good example to work from (Pathfinding is good, based on Thor's). Woodpecker has all the basic things coded including CFH & stacking.
Whats new?
SSO Log in disabled - old style client registration/log in (solves wrong SSO error)
Rooms now save floor items & public rooms load fine (thanks to Near for his assistance)
CMS is almost all english now
DCR's work fully with Woodpecker
Database includes working catalog with all furni (thats in the DB)
Special Woodpecker DCR's with new features and working CFH (thanks to Linkinpark/lRetros)
Whats broke?:
Private rooms
-Pets only walk(they dont make any actions: drink,eat,talk,play and the pet commands dont work)
-Laying down on beds(You dont lay on the middle and you can walk around your room laying xD)
-When a Habbo is in a room and he is disconnected,he stays in the room even if you reload the room or the Hotel
-When you register the Hotel disconnects you(but creates your user)
Basic things to improve
-Add welcome message
-Remove the annoying message of the catalogue that appears when you buy a furni
-Add more commands(It only has a few coded commands,if it has the same for example than Debbo)

Thanks for this,its basicly Woodpecker with two fixes,but its all the pack together and it will be very usefull for the people who want to test it or do a Hotel(because its great that its the complete pack).
But if its possible to fix that when you register you get disconnected,it will be better,because its an important thing,and i think that is not very difficult to fix it.one thing,you said that now all the public rooms loads now fine and contains all the public furnitures,or what do you mean?

yes yes, not much fixed but it works out of the box so to speak so thats a good thing for newbies :)
Basically before you would go into a private room, put furni in it, then when you left it wouldnt save. Now it does.

Very good,but when i tested Woodpecker v3(It was the same days that Moogly posted the Elite source codes),i was finding bugs and i dont exactly remember,but i think that the room furnis dont disappears when you enter another time in to the room.

Ah, i seemed to be in the minority because only one other user seemed to have problems with the furni not loading after you left the room on the Elite 4 thread.
I didnt add any public furni so im guessing that the fix for the private room furni also fixed the public room furni too as public room furni started loading when i fixed the private room furni.

Hello,
After setting up everything, the loader stops every time at the following point.
¿You mean that when the loading bar finish to load,it only appears the Hotel view without the Box to Login/Register?
If its that,its not problem of the server,is problem of your DCRS or that your navigator isnt be able to load the interface file.

"hh_interface.cct" is located in my dcr map. Does this means that it isn't configured properly in my external_vars.txt?

Make sure that you configured properly your external_variables link and in your loader and in them appears the line "cast.entry.1=hh_interface".
Im not sure that the file that is failing is hh_interface,but you can view inspecting element with your navigator and viewing on "Network" what file it can't be able to load your navigator,and find why.

To start programming, it's better to learn C#. Newbies in coding would NEVER understand this (not saying they're stupid, but it's too advanced for them).
But I think people who can't work from scratch but got a little bit of experience can use this as a good base.

I'm actually a C# nooby myself and I learned a shitload from it. Actually all I can do now have I learned from playing with Woodpecker. Did it for a month or 2.

Sadly not, the code is all there but the :ufos doesnt work nor does :voice? :( Im not very good with coding so im sure its simple to fix but ive no clue lol :)

There is a bug with laying down on beds as well, you won't lay in the middle. It's a bit messed up.

They don't work anymore indeed. Sadly enough.. Oldschool is just great and that's the reason I'm reviving it using your source. I've implemented Wobble Squabble, Diving, Swimming, Infobus, fixed al LOT of things and now I even have a workaround for the camera... which works! (It uses an external camera app to take photos and displays them with node.js and socket.io). Well, it would never have come to this without you. So thanks Nillus. Geweldig ;)

By the way, i just added your code and it seems that laying down is still messed up.
It indeed prevents, but it still lays down in the wrong place. I'll try to work some things out.

Yesterday i tested another time Woodpecker(the WJJ one) and this is the list of the bugs that i found(if someone wants to help us fixing them):
Private rooms

-Trax & Camera(but it doesnt matter,they aren't basic things)

-If you put the role 7 or 0 you cant enter in to the Hotel and minutes after the server closes
-When you register the Hotel disconnects you(i think its easy to fix,it only has to start the session with the proper packet;because it was adapted for ticket sso)
Public rooms(it isn't a basic thing,but only to know)
-Little bugs on some heightmaps of the public rooms(for example a chair where you can't sit or a place where you can walk and its supposed that you can't do it;but it doesnt matter..)
-You can't change your clothes for swim;and of course Lido & Wobble Squabble dont work
-Infobus poll doesn't work
Basic things for add or remove

-Remove the annoying message of the catalogue that appears when you buy a furni: "Yay! it's being delivered now..." (i know that is not a bug but is annoying xd)

If we are be able to fix all of the basic things(im not talking about camera,trax,lido,wobble squabble,..) Woodpecker will be even better than Debbo in coded things,because for example it has stack 100%(And if we talk that C# is much much better than VB6..).

Thanks for the "role fix" WJJ,if you can put in to your Woodpecker and be updating the Server with the fixes that we can find for the server(Nillus released the code of a command before,and also Near released the fix of laying down on beds) we can complete the server faster ^^.
Talking about the CFH,i used your Woodpecker version but i used the special DCRS of Woodpecker that Moogly gaves me 5 or 6 months ago.I have a lot of experiencie with this,and if CFH is coded on the server,its possible that dont work because:
-You have edited the Interface(If you do it and you dont know how to do it proffesional & clean like me,CFH will not work anymore)
-Some texts of the CFH that are important are missing on the external_texts(I tested with my public Loader,and it was because of this)
My theory is that it doesnt work for you and the rest of the people because you dont have some CFH texts on your external_texts(I think is not problem of the interface because you have the original one with any modifications).So,try using the external_texts that i use with woodpecker(in my point of view they're a total mess and kaotic,but they're in english and i only worked with spanish external_texts): Attachment 116839

Only if you clic on the last option "A serious issue (harassment, sexual behaviour)" you can write your call for help,the other options only open pop-ups because it was supposed that Sulake could help you viewing his FAQS about that topics.
If you had click on the last option and you also can't write it is very strange,because i fixed the CFH on my public Loader only with the texts(not this ones of Woodpecker).Anyways,i give you the special DCRS for Woodpecker(they aren't like the rest of the DCRS,they're adapted to Woodpecker) that Moogly gaves me months ago: [v13] Woodpecker DCRS.rar

Yes i did it,if you look,WJJ asked me,but anyways: [v13] Woodpecker DCRS.rar
And the other thing,if you mean that you want to fix that when you register you get disconnected,i think you only have to know what packet recieves the server and how he interprets it(you can see for example with Debbo),and change the way that makes start the session in the server.

Wobble Squabble used to work on my old habblux server O.o I played it lots of times with my friends when I had the V14 server online ;P
Also why is stacking limited to 2 or 3?

I helped WJJ making a proffesional thread about Woodpecker,when he'll see my PM im sure that he'll modify the thread that contains images about the stack and the special DCR's of Woodpecker.

When i tested the CMS i didn't realized about the online users,but another bug on the CMS is the Ticket SSO,because if you remember,in this version of Woodpecker the Ticket SSO was disabled,and the CMS which was prepared for it,you know what happens.. xD

Yup, but i already disabled it. I'm not a fan of sso, i prefer a simple loader.

Sorry for sounding like a noob but you do have a sql file with the admin catalog in it. I'm new this type of stuff I was 10 back when I joined ragezone (2007) and it was just download an server and that was it.
