what is FQDN?

hi im renting a DDS and there's a hostname(FQDN).. is he asking me for the hostname of my DDS or my website?? sorry for noob question

Most of the time the hostname section is just for reference, what is the website you're buying from? I can check for you.

A FQDN is a fully qualified domain name and, in this case, you would use something like server.yourwebsite.com. Basically your host name for your server.

so i need to put something in the HOSTNAME(FQDN) in the form? so it's like justmaine.google.com(sample)

Yes, a hostname is required. It can be anything you want, however it is recommended to use something that will be accessible (EX; don't use google's domain).
