Re: So..where do I start?
If I was you I would start with,
Learning how the "flyff" source works. You should try the basic stuffs as, implanting 3rd jobs/quick job changer into a source. When you find a way to work with the flyff system. What I mean by "system" is how the flyff source works. After you get some experience then you should buy a dedi. If you want to start with making a flyff private server, start with a clean source. Spikensbror released one and also Worf. Good luck :):
Re: So..where do I start?
IMO to have any success in running a server, you'll have to know at least a little bit from each separate area. If you know a little bit about coding, you'll have a better understanding of why feature A would be easier to implement than feature B or why it would take more or less time, etc.
That and having multiple skill sets never hurts. I've had experience with 2D graphics, modelling, coding, web design, and composing. I'm mostly skilled in coding, but when the others talk about their respective fields, I for the most part know what they're saying. :3c
Re: So..where do I start?
Thank you for the great advices, I'll be sure to start my learnings!
