Older Generation Consoles.
Hey, I have a Gamecube and a PS2. ( I bought the older consoles, because I'm not really a fan of newer ones, I have a 360 fresh in package for 90 bucks, anyone interested? lululululul)
I'm looking for some games for them, preferably RPG and/or Free-Roam. However, any other sort of games are fine as well (As long as they're fun!)
Please post below, some games that you all have played that you would recommend to me, I am more of a mainstream type gamer, I've played games such as Kingdom Hearts1,2 (PS2) , Paper Mario Thousand Year Door (GameCube) and some other popular franchise games. So if you all have ANY good games please post them below. They do not have to be a popular franchise, however if they were that'd be great!

Re: Older Generation Consoles.
All the Final Fantasies made for the PlayStation 1 and 2. Seriously, those are the most fun games I've ever played. Get Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy X, those were my favorite.

Re: Older Generation Consoles.
If your looking for older RPG's that are anything short of legendary and are a popular franchise, then Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic is a game that you'll never forget if you play it. Although, if you don't like Star Wars in general then clearly it's not the choice for you lol.

PS2: Romancing Saga & Radiata Stories

Re: Older Generation Consoles.
Gonna be honest here. The eldest console I have had is an xbox 360... So cant really talk much. However, played MOH:AA on the pc for like 5 years.

I've played that one years ago at a friends place. It was actually pretty good. I'm a fan of Star Wars.

You have to experience an older generation of gaming. It's actually pretty amazing (y)

Re: Older Generation Consoles.
Xenosaga.
Bully.
Shadow Of Collosus.
Scarface.
All of the Silent Hill's.
God of War's.
Those are the greatest games made for PS2.
But my favorite RPG's on PS2 were hands down Shadow Heart's series and Tales of the Abyss..

Oh great, it's good to know you played it :). One of the greatest franchises of games that PlayStation has ever released has to be the Metal Gear Solid series, hands down. I know that isn't a RPG, but if your after truly an epic story and great polished game play then that's a must try. It took me a while to try MGS for the first time, and it was one of the best gaming experiences I ever had.

Yeah, the MGS series is amazing. I second this recommendation.
If you're into scary/horror type games, the Silent Hill series is also really good. Silent Hill 3 was awesome and had great music.

Here's a list of my favorite ones, but they're probably lost somewhere in my house:
Legend of Zelda: Windwaker (GameCube), Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (They have it for GameCube :P), Simpsons: Hit and Run (Both GC and PS2), Wario Ware Inc. (GC), Super Smash Bros. (GC), Sims 2 (PS2), Urbz: Sims in the City (PS2), Pretty much the whole Sims Series for PS2 LOOL, etc. There's much more, I can't even think of them. lol
I might be interested in that Xbox 360 though, Please Private message me, and let me know more about it! ;D

LOL that's everyone's top system, but GameCube had some great games as well. Super Mario '64, a great fucking game, played that shit for hours as well as MarioKart.

PM'd
I have Twilight Princess for the Wii (Ewh!), but i'll look into Windwaker (heard it was really good)

Re: Older Generation Consoles.
Suikoden 1 & 2 for PlayStation is a couple of my Favourite RPGs. Breath of fire III and IV were also great. Dragon Quest VIII has a nice Open-World type setting in a way.

Re: Older Generation Consoles.
I loved the fact MR. DB(DBZ) CT etc. Akira Toriyama did the art. It made it so much better for me. But being a DQ fag that I am I'd have bought it anyways probably. Nothing compares to the DW intro~ So epic~ Dragon Quest Theme (part 1) - YouTube \o/ 8bitz of glory :D

Re: Older Generation Consoles.
OH!
What are some of the DBZ games for the Playstation 2? More over so , do they have freeroam and/or story mode? Or is it simply fighting?
-
Re: Older Generation Consoles.
It is basicly fights with a story haha. Budikia was the name?

Re: Older Generation Consoles.
Here is the list of PS2 Games that I got today,
Grand Theft Auto : San Andreas (lol)
Kingdom Hearts : Replaced (broke my other one)
Final Fantasy X: (As recommended by Savage)
Here is my general list of games for the PS2:
GTA:SanAndreas
Kingdom Hearts
Final Fantasy X
Kingdom Hearts 2
Naruto Ultimate Ninja 2 (Not that great, but was cheap!)
Naruto Ultimate Ninja 3 (Not that great, butw as cheap!)
Dragon Ball Z Sagas
Dragon Ball Z Ultimate Tenkaichi
I plan on doing some more shopping on Sunday for some more cheaper games (preferably GameCube games this time around). I went around the Thrift Stores that have this massive collection of PS2 Games (love it!) and GameStop.
I need some games that I can play with my little cousin on Christmas Day. He's a big fan of Dragon Ball Z and that is why I bought Ultimate Tenkaichi. I also ordered the other two UTs. However, they won't be here by Christmas, does anyone have any DECENT games with a DECENT Multi-Player mode that I can play? The guys in 4th grade or so, and I don't really want to expose him to Grand Theft Auto San Andreas even though it has a Multi-Player mode.
His favorite kind of games:
Naruto Games (of any kind)
Dragon Ball Z Games (of any kind)
and general RPG and/or Fighting games that look cartoonish.
Thanks in advance! To those who suggest me some games for my cousin to play, you'll learn yourself a Like and a +Reputation. thanks!
P.S, to those who think I am cheap, and am not willing to use the hundred or so bucks to get a PS3 or Xbox360, you're wrong. I have a 360, however i don't take a liking into things easily. I find the Nintendo 64 (Smash Bros woo!, Paper Mario,Zelda) , the GameCube(Smash Bros, Paper Mario TYD, Pokemon Collesium) and the PS2 (Final Fantasy, GTA, Kingdom Hearts Series, and more!) alot more fun to play. I do not know why, it might be because i'm stuck in the past, but i love these series.
