[SOLVED] Missing tideborn cultivation quest?
So I started up a test server and I was playing around when I came across something that struck me as odd. Now unless I have just been out of PWI I remember you get a system message for spiritual cultivation at level 9. I'm playing as a tideborn, level 17 and no such system message has come up. Following various guides I went to go talk to Meditating Shaman @ 657, 130, he does not have a quest for me for the cultivation. Did I miss something? How do you start cultivation if the message doesn't pop up?
Is maybe one of my npc data files messed up? :?:
Thanks for all help in advance.
Test server was built with a basis around 1.45 Installing Tutorial + Servers pack ( ronny style ) guide and 343's 1.4.5 guide.
Edit... I just read it may have been adjusted to level 19? I'll level and try that.
Edit 2... Just reached level 19 and still no quest, no server message, nothing. Tomorrow I'll try replacing the tasks.data or similar npc files. If someone knows exactly what might cause this feel free to chip in.
Re: Missing tideborn cultivation quest?
It's been a while since I played, not to mention I've never played a TB. However, I do know that, even on official, the TB (and I'm guessing EG too) have entirely different cultivations than the original races... Though if anything, if you're having any problems, it would almost certainly be due to tasks.data
Here is the official "spiritual guide" ~ Perfect World International - Free MMORPG | Play Free Online Video Games
Funnily enough you'll notice there's STILL no mention of TB or EG when you look at the first few levels of cultivation...!
Re: Missing tideborn cultivation quest?
According to Tideborn Quest Guide 1-19 - Perfect World International Forum it says I should have a system message at level 9. Now obviously things could have changed since 2009 and that is what I do not know. What I do know is that I'm level 19 soon to be 20, no message has shown up and the NPC does not have a quest for me. Off to edit tasks.data I go, thanks as usual 343 :)
-- Edit
I fixed it by replacing the tasks.data file from your clean files 343. I did a side by side comparison of the 2 tasks.data files, apparently the tasks.data I had was literally missing that quest. Problem solved, thanks!
