Steam Winter Sale 2012
Anyone else here extremely disappointed in this? Seen Borderlands 2 at least 3 times and pretty much every other game (XCOM: Enemy Unknown, LEGO Lord of the Rings for example) for the second time.

Re: Steam Winter Sale 2012
I am disappointed. I think that spring sale was better than this shit.

Re: Steam Winter Sale 2012
The games on sale arent really that nice to be honest.

The only things I've picked up so far are the Half-Life collection, Morrowind and Serious Sam 3 (co-op purposes only). If the GTA pack doesn't go on sale this time, this is by far the worst sale ever (yes, I'm one of the few that doesn't have that pack yet).
Oh and I've picked up Deus Ex: Human Revolution during the autumn sale. Sadly enough, that game only has hit the summer sale once whilst all the shit games keep hitting both the flash and daily sales.

The games you should look out for(if you dont own) are TL2 , CS:GO and Borderlands, pretty much the best buys if on offer.

I missed out on TorchLight II when it went down with -50%. And, unlike most other games, it hasn't yet been re-added as a flash or community sale.
As for CS and Borderlands, don't like CS, Borderlands 1 was awesome, don't really like 2. CS will probably go -75% on next sale, Borderlands 2 was much cheaper on greenmangaming.

Re: Steam Winter Sale 2012
Counter Strike Complete is now 10$. You get Counter-Strike, Counter-Strike: Condition Zero, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Counter-Strike: Source.. Which is a pretty sick deal, considering CS:Go on its own with 50% off costs 7.50$.. I Got CSC about half a year ago, for 5$, dont remember which sale it was.
I bought THQ Collection, that has 22 sick games, including Darksiders 1 & 2, Saints Row 2 & 3, All Red Factions, War Hammer 40,000; Company of Heroes, etc..
Otherwise I am not impressed :/

Re: Steam Winter Sale 2012
I already bought Assassin Creed 2 deluxe version , Company of heroes Tales of Valor .
Now, I want to buy Assassin Creed brother hood and assassin's creed director's cut Edition (already - %)
assassin's creed director's cut Edition <--- some one can tell me what special is this ?

Re: Steam Winter Sale 2012
Last year you could get the full counter strike and half life source series for $3. I was expecting better deals this year, especially on cs:go but valve seems very hungry for money after they hired some jackass business advisor. Coincidentally the half-life deathmatch community got destroyed after the 'game' started to cost money. It was obvious that the community was mostly composed of Russians who were developing what is otherwise a train wreck only because it was free.
And now the kiddos that fell into valve's trap are feeling something hard up their asses: http://steamcommunity.com/app/320/discussions/0/846939071415969240/

THQ collection is owkay, if only the Humble Bundle (that costed 6$) didn't contain like 80% of those games. Counter Strike was kind of a nice deal, but I don't play that sort of games so I didn't get it. More into Dragon Age and Torchlight.

The director's cut edition includes several audio and video options on pc which the console versions didn't have. That's about it. Totally worth the 2,50 € though, it's the best Assassins Creed ever released imo.

I pre-purchased Torchlight 1 and got beta access to Torchlight 2, back in the day ;)
I enjoy Torchlight too.. It's a pretty sick game. Loving the random generator.

Yeah, I'm waiting for Torchlight II to go back at a -50% sale so I can buy it and not play it for another few months considering uni starts again in less than a week.

Re: Steam Winter Sale 2012
While there have been a lack of sales, one should never miss an XCOM sale. You can never have too many XCOM's thats how good that game is.

Greenmangaming had steam keys for XCOM: Enemy Unknown at 17,50$.

Re: Steam Winter Sale 2012
Bought AC1 and 2 for about 6 euro together and I bought Jet Set Radio.
I already own lots of games (200+) on Steam and have bought pretty much everything I wanted so far, the only exceptions would be games that are the more expensive ones that haven't gone to 75% yet, like Skyrim.
As for XCOM, I don't care where you get it, just make sure you get it. ;)

You missed out on the CounterStrike collection pack which was like 10 pounds.

Re: Steam Winter Sale 2012

Re: Steam Winter Sale 2012
Got myself Torch Light II + Orcs Must Die! Franchise Pack + Terraria. Orcs Must Die! is a hell of a fun game, but only when you play the co-op mode, the single player mode is rather boring.

Tried torchlight 2, was unique and kinda fun, but imho D3 still kind of wins in the addiction factor.

Haven't got the chance to play it yet. But from what I've seen I'd probably play it rather than Diablo 3. For some reason I never liked Diablo.

Torchlight II has good trading value considering the game costs about 10$, even during sale.
Also, anyone here got Sleeping Dogs with the -91% pricing error? They fixed it right after when I added the game to my basket.
-
Re: Steam Winter Sale 2012
Got Dead Island (for co-op reasons) and CS:GO just because it's a fun way to kill some time.
-
Re: Steam Winter Sale 2012
I surprisingly haven't bought anything from it yet. It might be because I still haven't played all my games from the summer sale/humble bundle O.o
