any such luck?

lolz this pissed me off soo much...
my fan for my CPU has been wobbly for the past 2 days. the fan starts to wobble and make a hella LOUD noise as it vibrates my whole tower.
so i decided so jamm some blue-tac into the back of the fan to try n keep it in place while i go get a new one. i was out of the house for 4 HOURS looking at every local comp shop for a fan till i finally found one for AU$50 (had speed control and heat-sink too) it was the only one they had. so i got that, get home and my old shotty blue-tac'd fan is working perfectly =.="

GGRRR:@ i almost smashed both of them...

anyone else had same luck as me?

Woah $50 is quite expensive for a fan.. especially if you dont even need one :P

shouldnt this be in pc section?

yea $50 is alot but its max speed is 5500rpm's, and it weighs about 800grams (seriously)
and it has heat-sinks and manual speed controll + auto speed controll.

i was gonna put this in PC section, but i wanted to know if anyone else had such weird experiences about old stuff working once u've bought replacements or sumthing...

Well, look at it this way, atleast you do not have to buy a continuing chain of hardware to eventually get it all working ;)

the old was a plain old fan with like 3k rpm's or sumthing
the new one's got 2 manual controlls with auto controll and heat-sink at 5.5k rpm's

yea the new one's hell better though ;)

if your fan was broken before, it likely will be again. I would replace the fan anyway.

Closet I've done was that this computer I had to fix. The processor wasn't working so I was running around the building looking for a spare one to put in the computer. After about 2 hours of seaching I found one and then looked at the computer and the processor was only slightly out of place. That pissed me off big time.
