Hello, I'm pretty new to the community. I'm wondering if it's possible to run a server using Windows 7, the guide I saw said Linux. Thanks in advance, and sorry if this is posted in the wrong section. :)

no only in linux but you can run a virtual machine with linux on your pc , there is a vbox image here : http://forum.ragezone.com/f751/perfe...-4-5-a-890835/
Thanks for the fast reply!
Also you can use colinux or AndLinux (second needs some research), for win it'll be better because it wont waste the resources of pc.
Colinux is complete and utter garbage, I would recommend VMware...
Or VirtualBox - VirtualBox 4.2.6 for Windows hosts x86/amd64
https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Downloads
I've never heard of VMware :o
Then you must be new to the internet.
Or you must use an apple/mac :O:
I'd still recommend VMware:
VMware Player: Virtual PC
is the only product you'll ever need for your virtualization needs...
Apple is for iDiots :junglejane:
apple for peeps whos dun know how to spend their money
I could not agree more. Apple is the product that was design to make people think they were getting something great, instead they are given a restricted piece of crap, that most don't know better, or those that do and are just afraid to try something much better. Sadly for them, those are the type of people who don't belong on the internet.
Apple is rotten ;[
Back to the subject: also there is microsoft virtPC. Of course it is garbadge, but it does exist.
