hi everyone i dont know if you guys know that they have changed the system and now you can sign up with a free basic account. You need a cc(credit card) though but people think negative whenever it comes to shoving your cc number up the website as they have poor trust. But lemme explain in 5 reasons why they would not scam you.

1: If you would like to upgrade your account or anything you need the credit card.
2: They have been working for over a year getting more and more people they have enough money to buy america(being sarcastic about the america bit)
3: If they did scam you they would be fined arrested and KILLED BY L13K T3H AL13NZZZZ but on a more serious note they would have to pay more than they received.
4: To waste a big product just to take all the credit card numbers would be stupid as they are profiting ggrearly as the population grows.

Reasons why you should play it:

BEFORE REASON NUMBER ONE I'D LIKE TO PUT THIS IN: It is a game like no other, a shooter, a chatting game, real life sorta (but with god powers ...if you know how to script)

1: increases your IQ (seriously after 5-6 months playing learning script my cousin got an A- in graphics and coding =) and thats amazing because he's related to me and my family is....well not stupid just stufid)

2: If you know how to script you can make anything that comes to your head. I studied a whole day in scripting and i was able to create a car that converts to a house, boat, bike, pet robot in easy commands such as /39 house(...if you don't know it changes to a house)

3: make swords with an easy to use object maker thingymabob, make swords, guns,armour,helmet

4: To be stronger you need to get smarter in a way(or you can just buy real godly items) the better you are scripting the more stronger you become.

5: Meet friends, make love, meet people you might actually marry in REAL life. It's more than a game if you take it seriously.

6: Many options such as flying, boxing, dancing, sailboat competitions, events held not by the gm's but by actual people.

7: Buy land and Create houses to live in, have an all night party. Dance, Sing, punch kick or just bash the crap out of your enemies or friends. Have a pillow fight. Or just fly in a house and wreck the parties goin on by shooting everyone inside(lol)

8: Transform yourself into many different avatars such as gundam wing mobiles, pacman, mario and you cannot be sued by anyone as this is game
where you're meant to create anything you want/can.

9: If you need a starting avatar to get you started i can help you in-game (Shadowbane69 Turner) I will give you scripted lightsabers, a motorbike, a house, 91 scripts and if you sign up under me i will give you a mech suit worth 500 linden dollars(which is a lot!) Oh and also if you sign under me and i get enough money to buy a human cannonball the first person to meet me or IM(instant message me in game will get a copy lol and also i will give you force powers (really i will)

10: Forums are active, lindens(the gms) are active they support you, you're problems.

11: Use the Force, you get the ability to force push your avatar , thundershock em.

Well to sum it all up this game is unlike any other, having the ability to create many different things to appeal to your character is amazing something no other game(besides sims and even the sims won't be able to become equal to) will ever achieve

Errm, I would of supported u but theres identification purposes.. Noone wants to put in their credit card for identification unless ur a second life freak or a goodie goodie. u gotta be like 18 or over -_-

well i like to play these games of real life.. i dream of making a game related to everything in real life like "Second Life" but like more features even another computer on the game to play counter-strike :P

Meh, I don't really much care for it. I don't got a CC number in the first place, so I just decided to forget about it.

1) Second life sucks
2) Credit card- ffs.
3) Dont refer people to other forums [especially crappeh ones!]
4) Font sizes a bit BIG.

Well they need a credit card to validate that you are over 18. They don't want any kids in this game. And it doesn't suck after you get used to it.

basically, the majority of us don't wanna go explain to our mom/dad why we need their CC..

I played SL it's a very good game, Very nice people on it that is a good +. But I gave up because my friends did not play.

if ur a skater u should play Tony Hawks American Wasteland Its the best and its like about ur life in skateboarding!

its just for validation , it just prove that ur 18 or if ur playing teen second life , its to prove that ur parent noe that ur playing this , since this is a socializing game , its better to have a parent monitoring ( this is what they are thinking , i suppose )

Hehe what I mean is that at first if you don't like it, give it time. Yes, it's a social game, but there's much more to do than talk with people. The server is hosted in San Francisco, CA in the US so anyone in any other country is going to have some serious lag problems. Everything that you see in the game comes from the Internet, as you can tell by the small client size.

big fonts seem like ranting to me... <_<
