Re: Youtube Zombie Channel
Just released another Episode, will release a variety of games soon (Left 4 Dead 2, Dead Island and eventually DayZ). I'd love to hear you guy's input on our videos so far.
Re: Youtube Zombie Channel
I actually enjoy your videos, you should carry on doing this.
Also, your intro is amazing, who made it for you?

Re: Youtube Zombie Channel
=) Maybe... can't admit that I suck on the game... *cough*, but yeah. It's just to annoy him =)
Re: Youtube Zombie Channel
First, have confidence - I see a lack of not "knowing the game", example: "What is this map called?", obviously - Users only watch experienced guys and keep their attention to them, make sure you know your "stuff".
Voice: Great voice, it sounds really good for a commentor's!
Brand: Have yourself a kickass intro or a name you go by, so people will know you, you already do but I'm sure you will improve it! This one's good but I'm sure you'll do better in the future and get a youtube background, a custom made one.
Site: Probably not the best move for now, but this could be a great plan for later, once you get big or atleast bigger, just get yourself a site!
Get the user close to you: Use techniques such as instead of saying "I'll wait here for the zombies", say "We'll/Let's wait here for the zombies." or make it interactive: "Do you hear that sound?" "Can you see that?".
Might seem retarded, but those little things win you things, it's just like with these little things such as saying "Have a good day" that get people to notice you.
Ni**a, I don't want to watch you kill zombies with your friends, that'd be stupid. If you watch HDHusky and TotalHalibut, they make it look social but really, they're showing off games, players and new things in their videos - nobody gives a crap about one guy playing a game, really. So try to give users something they'll learn or care about.
Contests: Don't do contests for subscribers, those are people that won't stay, once you've got 500-1000 subscribers, run a contest, you know those people care and just give stuff away to some people.
Play with your watchers: Leave your gamer tag and stuff so people can play with you! This is you socializing with your viewers and getting close to them, ofcourse you can't play with them all, but try to play with as many as possible.
Screams.
Man, I love screams, scream when you run from zombies. (That's a subjective one, it's kind of a personal prefference really.)
Affiliates..People don't give a crap about you, but if you'll just ask the "big players" to help you and make a refference to you in their videos, that'd help a lot! But you should give viewers between you, sure you're small now but it can get big if you do that.
Unique content: Nobody wants to see the same thing for two times, right?
Keep at it, I saw many youtubers starting and then just leaving their channels.
The thing is: Over night successes are: - People that have worked 10 years, then they've achieved something we may call Perfection, then they "hit the spot" and became big.. So you just have to keep at this, if you truly enjoy it, you will.
Good luck.
