Report: N.Y. Mayor Bloomberg bans 2-liter sodas with pizza delivery - Washington Times
I know it's news material but I thought since it's such an absurd law it'd be alright to post.
Fyi this doesn't even make the top 5 most ridiculous laws here lol

What? even soda is banned for being big? -__- absurb
Wait..
They deliver 2 liters of soda when you order an pizza? o.O
"The mayor's new rules prohibit restaurants from serving or selling soda in containers larger than 16 ounces."
That's not even half a litre! It's crazy.
@wastedpeng - A lot of fast food places in the UK do the same if you spend over a certain amount
Playing devil's advocate, soda is horrible for your body, causing diabetes, rotts teeth, and kills your stomach lining. Then you have all the additives and suger, o gosh. No one reallllly needs that much of Satan's tonic, especially when it is probably going into the mouths of the youth.
People complain about cannabis legalization while drinking a glass of acid and sugar, I never really understood that.
To some extent it is not very stupid because you Americans need to lose some god damn weight.
Actually, it's a clever idea. Good thinking.
Go walk to the shop and buy some. It'd probably be cheaper too.
This is what happens when you have politicians who have nothing better to do. All the good laws were made decades ago, and the big bad laws (guns!) are too big now that to discuss or try change them would be career suicide. So generally all they can do is bring in small pointless laws like this that the majority will shrug off or not even care about.

We just need to slide a bit towards anarchy and stop making laws for every little thing that should be down to self choice. By all means get companies to stick warning labels on stuff about what abuse of their product does to people (ie abuse of this product will cause weight gain, and lead to premature death). But legally stopping shops from selling the product is pretty BS really. Especially when you are buying a pizza which is just as bad if not worse.
Still not gonna make a change. In NY on every street, theres a mcdonalds. They just have to get out of there house and get a drink.
Another attempt at taking away 'self-choice'. It getting pretty stupid now, people already know the effects of obesity and all the side effects of a bad diet but doesn't mean people are going to change overnight because of a law.
Not really because of the fact that 3rd world countries occupations require alot of physical work compared to the united states because you just won't see a guy working in an office in a 3rd world country instead he would be a civil engineer or lumberjack.
That is partially right though because it is much cheaper to eat food high in caloric take, but low in nutrients, thus causing weight gain.
If you are consuming 4000 calories a day for 20 euro, anyone will get fat, no matter how much they work.
If South Africa had the same availability of food, they may have some of the same issues we have.
