Best "place" to get a VPS

A while back I asked for good VPS providers; now that I have found some, I am wondering about the best places to get them.
I found a good one which has its VPS' based in the Netherlands but I'm unsure how "reliable" Netherland-based VPS' are.
Are they suitable for a retro? Are there any special rules or guidelines?

I've got some places in mind, I just really need to know countries that are reliable. Netherlands?

A VPS server is a server pal, just get it from anywhere why does it matter, get 1gb ram 60gb diskspace and proxy emulator and website and voila :?:

Unless he starts getting bigger;), I was told, and thought for a long time, a 2-3 gb ram VPS was suitable for a retro, and it could hold like 150-200 users:L It's also faster for smaller hotels?

EDIT: Make sure you get like 4 cpu cores, makes your vps like 100x faster, Learned this the hard way.-.

I use Webfusion, never had any problems with them :):

I use XZ Networks. used to use Thrust, but it's shit now. Also, if you're looking to make a big hotel with a dedicated server, then try LSN :P

Try a VPS on Russia because theirs no DMCA their..

Thanks guys; reason im asking this question is because I read that VPS' in certain countries can be "bad" - ie: servers in Russia have power outages etc. idk if all this is completely true tho. I was thinking of going with transip - Netherlands servers.

I dont really recommend Transip because if u get ddosed they give you a warning and the next time u get ddosed u need to pay a repair... because they say: if u get ddosed, it "damage" other servers to... -__-'
