no this isnt by wemade entertainment ( person who thought its from the same ppl who brought u mir, ur WRONG! :P. this game was developed by shanda (shamda as i like to call em, since they stole 80% of the content from mir 1.9 and mir 3) interactive, which did some work on mir for wemade at some stage i believe, but wasnt given any credit i think. there was a large court battle over copyright infringement between wemade and shanda, and apparantly since shanda played a large part in the graphic art, they had the right to reproduce most of the work. considering the most part of the game is infact gfx, its understandable that they could release it as a diff game ( + a few new things of course)
are these files for hosting a server or joining one? I have no idea how to get these files to work so i can join a server.
Im having some trouble setting these files up, mental, have you had them working, with the Woool v7 client?

It could be based on Mir version 1.9, but it is an entirely different game. The engine is different for starters, which is what most people look for. Then the game system itself is signifantely different, not much to bitch about then. For similarities, sure there are tons, but look at the entire industry. Didn't wemade ent. split up about 2-4 years ago. The one of the presidents had a problem and wanted to split, so he started woool. Well thats my recollection of it.(Can't remember exactly what happened... Feel like im turning into an old man hah)

If your having trouble getting this to work, heres a few points:
1. Make sure the paths are correct in !setup.txt mine is currently like this:
EG my Base folder is installed to: C:\wooolserver\mir200\BaseCode:[Share]

VentureDir=.\Venture\

Umm I'm stuck I got all server running (I think) just a shame I cant read what ever language this is other wise I could tell you but anyway, I get upto server select it says "test" (thats what i've called it for now) and I have changed all the names in the configs to test (yes all lower case in both server side and client) I changed all the IP's in !setup and all the config files. This is basicly started a mir 1.4 and 1.9 server but without the translations lol just wondering if anyone could help me on this one please.

Because these newer releases that MentaL is posting have a different database structure (eg. using borlands .DB system instead of microsoft's .sql system that Team Fury was using).
They stopped development as there wasnt enough intrest and the ones mental released are more advanced i think
Yeah I know the mental ones are more up2date and the website for the version that mental posted is here: http://www.clmain.com but its all in chinese but they post a lot of files and stuff there. Anyways, why is that version using BDE (.bd files) and Fury using SQL (.sql files) for their database. Cause the whole .bd files is more confusing since I'm so used to using .sql files instead.
Becuase the ones mental released are basically Legend of mir 1.9 files but for WoooL and the 1.9 files use BDE and BDE is easier to use than SQL i find as its much easier to edit the items and so on but thats my opinion once mental creates the section ill post setup guides and so on
Okay sounds good, just one last question. I know you'll post a guide and everything soon but what BDE editor do I use. And what version. I mean since I see things like using delphi and paradox and stuff like that but what exactly do I use to manage them?

Well its not Delphi or Paradox you need something called BDE Administrator. Check Start > Control Panel > and see if you have it. If not look on the net. Once you have that setup your database (ill post guide) and then you need another program called DB Commander Pro 2000 which lets you edit the database
Okay cool thanks, you wouldn't believe how many different things I downloaded to try and figure this out. There's a whole bunch of different database editing apps out there (as I'm sure you know).
But anyways, I'll hold off on anything else for now and I will wait for your guide. Thanks for your help though and good luck on the guide.
