Need help to connect VPS to domain.

Hey, RageZone!

I have a domain (habster.me) and VPS (Windows Server 2008). I do not quite know how to put together vps and domain. Domain is from godaddy.com. Should I set up DNS? If I set up dns host what will be then?
Hope someone can help!

Setup the DNS.. change the IP to your vps ip. done.

It was an ip there from before, but I'll just replace it with mine?

Yes, change the 1 hour too 1/2 hour, and it will only take about a minute. I use godaddy myself.

Hmm, i have wait some hours now, but if you see on my site, i get to "MySite" :-p

Just wait a few hours, if it's not updated from that, then change your nameservers, but for now leave it. Just keep checking on it from time too time.

If you clear your cache you might find the changes have already taken effect.

I have wait for some hours, and clear my cache. But no changes.. i will more :-p

Make a account on cloudflare

Add your ip and connect the domain to it

Easy way is to find some DNS hosting service.. for this example use cloudflare - Home | CloudFlare | The web performance & security company

When you have finished signing up you will be able to choose "DNS Settings":

Set it up so it looks like this:

Then click the green "im done entering my dns records"

Wait for a few hours = done.

Make the DNS an A (ADDRESS) for WWW and put it as your VPS IP. It can take upto 48 hours to take effect.

The problem is fixed, but i need some housekeeping help with RevCMS (IIS).
