Hello.
Right now for some reason the server side will not accept a certain map.bht
What controls what versions it will accept? I tried to hex and no solutions.
Same with client file .ecbsd, ther is no version slot when you hex.

Uhm yes, ecbsd has a version "slot". The int right after the 8 byte header.
I don't know whats wrong with me because i cannot find it for the life of me. : / This is what I see.

map.bht is linked with region and its only if region is version 6 I believe?
Are you working on a different game > PW and which game?
Well:
hex = decimal
0E = 14
0D = 13
0C = 12
06 = 06
If that has anything to do with all of this :wink:
FW to JD
it should be similar to LOMA to PW

but i honestly dont know how to change the version. Ive been trying now for a bit but i dont see how 00 = 14.
int = 4 byte. So you have 0D 00 00 00, which are 4 bytes, which is one int, which is 14 Little endian.
Well I am still a little lost on this,
I dont know if its to much to ask but Can you guys change the one ill upload to Version 13 then re upload it for me so that I can take a look at the difference and see what I was doing wrong? I would so greatly appreciate it! =)
Here you go.
Maybe my client just has some issues because im still crashing when trying to load this map even after applying your fix
frustrating...
I guess i have 1 more question before completely giving up on this.
Is there a way to get a map.bht to the same version as the other ones?
example, When i replace it with a different map.bht server side,,
I can load into the game just fine view the map everything, but I get rubberbanding.
Is there a way to change the map.bht to be the same version as the other ones so that I can load it on server side?(currently when it loads, it crashes the entire server)
I hope you are aware that a simple version change will not change the actual structure of the file. So if client expects a certain structure for the version you wish, and it finds a different struct, you will get crashes... so changing the version and hoping for it to work is in fact not very promising ;)
