This is one game i'll never really understand why people actaully like it. I bought this game a WEEK after it came out, and not one word of a lie. I played it once, Uninstalled it and the box has collected quite a bit of dust since then.
I really don't understand the concept. It's a PvP game. and most of my online gaming i'm usually saying "I wish this was PvP."
Anyways, I just really don't know what all the extacy about this game is all about. Because I hate it.
actually there's two sides to guild wars. PvE and PvP. But guild wars is different with other games because each of the genre above is done on seperate servers or something like that. but you can always play pvE with a character and use it to level, and at the same time, unlock runes/upgrades/items/normal skills/elite skills for your character on the PvP server. PvP is pretty okay for me on guildwars since there are different kinds of PvP and different set ups, as in, different number of ppl in ur party and different maps, and countless strategies u can have by having different character builds. The only thing that isnt enough for me is, if only they could allow us to spectate guild fights/tournaments etc etc. but this is only my 2cents ;)
beside's there is no monthly fee , it sucks ... .. its boring after a couple of hours

I think that you should think about it first, not judge a game from the beginning and rather ask some people who has played it for more than 5 min!!!!
WoW players may not like it, fine, but funny enough: WoW is full of 10 y/o noobs, GW has almost no noobs because the game is more complicated than WoW.
i really enjoyed guildwars its a really cool game, i must admit i stopped after about a months gaming but that was due to me playing CSS in a high level clan so i just cut out all other games to prac more
all in all i really rate guildwars

true very true.. i cant stand playing that game for more than 2 hrs anymore a week. #1 i got lvl 20 like 2nd week having it and #2 noone wants to go through that hell again raising another character to get to lvl 20. Upside: Free Downside: gets very repetitive and boring very fast.Quote:

I like the missions the first time through, but they do get very boring. The GvG is amazing though. Unfortunately, though, i am limited in GvG because i don't like spending time in PvE to unlock skills and such. I still think its a really good game though.
on other aspects like getting uber gears and equipments or becoming really strong, which are common in other mmorpgs, are relatively easy to achieve in guild wars, but difficult on other mmorpg official servers (not private ones). anyway, although armors dont drop from mobs, but weapons do, and they drop alot as well. also, the game doesnt require you to invest alot of time to become powerful and properly equipped. for example, a Fiery Dragon Sword (the highest dmg sword in Gw) 15-22 clean without any mods, cost less than 200g which can be obtained easily from presearing. as for being repetitive, sure it is, but not as much as compared to wow. how many fedex quests are there actually in gw? and how many of them are in wow? see the difference? on gw, the primary quests are the ones that drives ppl on the most. not only rewarding, it also gives u access to unlock new maps. quests like escorting a npc or a group of npc, or have them help you fight, or you set up multiple catapults so that enemies at a certain distance gets blown away den you charge at them once their numbers has decreased and many more. then there are secondary quests, these are quests that arent in the whole Gw storyline but still rewarding and helps u lvl up quicker.

I'm new here, i'mma buy WoW legally after 1/2 day(s); but i already downloaded [a torrent] for Guild Wars and it is installed, but i don't have an accses key, so is there also Private servers or accses keys/cracks for it?
I wanna play it though.
And i saw here that there's WoW private servers, you guys just download WoW and play it for free? what's the diffrence? I'm very confused right now, please help and anaswer my questions.

there are no private servers for guild wars at the moment and there wont be any in the near future as well. just get the game. it costs you the client and cd key but no monthly fees for the game. so even though u installed it, there's no point cos u cant play, unless ur friend lets u in on his/her account.
as for wow, there are alot of private servers popping up everyday because its easy to set one up, maybe take around 10mins if you have all the files required. private servers = usually buggy and not as updated as official servers but they are free. offcial servers = for wow they are all pay to play. so if u wanna play on a private server, make sure u have the wow client and update it to the version the private server is. and change ur realmlist.wtf to what the server is and connect. thats all.
I must say that guild wars is much much much better then WoW.

LOL GW roks, when i first played it,m i throut FUCK so boring, but one i got in to it, its great as, best when u do quests and mission with ur friends, atm im up to a amazingly hard mission, thunderhead keep or somthing, dam its hard as
what a fuck game
some missions are hard some are okay. for those missions that arent primary, which means not in the storyline, u usually can get it over n done with, with the henchmens (non-playable characters). as for the harder missions, sometimes its irritating because some players take so so so long to load, and some just leave without any warning. its like, u enter a mission with 7 other players = total 8 and halfway the mission, u have got like 4 left and its really hard to continue especially when the healer leaves. sure, u can get henchies, but they arent as efficient, they dont talk, they dont quarrel with you, and they are usually a few lvls lower den yourself :(
i can download WoW and play on a private server absolutly free?... i got guild wars and its fun. but i heard WoW was a little better.
Hey, if someone here doesn't wanna play GW, like that guy who said his GW box was just sitting there collecting dust, then give out the CD Key to someone who wants it, like me for instance. I need a game to play since this one guy on here, savagefromhell, decided to all of a sudden change his WoW password for no reason, after deciding to let me use his account.
either way, hes not obliged to give you his cdkey just because he doesnt like the game or doesnt play it. the guy who let you on his wow account, also isnt obliged to consider what impact it will have on you if he changed his pw. the thing is, they paid for those account/cdkey. if you wanna play, get one yourself. or better, if u wanna treat someone this way too, get the cdkey yourself. and dont prioritise yourself by saying "give me the cdkey since you dont need it cos i need a game to play since someone who let me in on his wow acc doesnt do the same anymore for no reason" ;)
