UPDATE 1: now i started making the guides for release them in 20.4.2013, as excepted to be a big day in tales runner community...!
i dont know seems when tales runner is really big thing.. so i decided to release that!

Thanks for the info vinam! I'll be sure to make some backup uploads so we don't get shut down with DMCAs or anything like that, it was how the original server file leak was shut down.
Can't wait to see the new dev done not just on Fantasy but on all servers, and hopefully some new ones arising.

You don't need a packer for putting new files into a server. Going to say that right now. I know the basic ways of doing it (not broken down) of adding new things, but I won't give any further info besides the fact you only need an unpacker.

Not to be rude, but its somewhat obvious you are the root of TR Private servers/files/unpacker/dev/whatever you want to call it, considering most TR pserv goers know of MMOPs start of dev from years ago and how Goon and Atomix were the first to release a server. Regarding on how you made an unpacker in seconds, Not all of us have as much experience as you do (you aren't legendary for nothing). Your files are also yours to deal with, in no way are you a douche for keeping them to yourself, and leechers sha'll be asswipes. How and whether which people leech what from who is beyond me, I simply gave thanks to the people who've released something as wanted or needed as this, personally not mattering to me who leeched it or not. In this situation it seems they made their own unpacker, and its complicated enough that it doesn't really do much for newb tr devs, aka the ones who can speak about 5 words of English. That's good, well for you at least, because I know you hate your leechs and leaks ruining all dev you've done, something that doesn't happen much with this situation unless you have a will to do development. Sharing is caring, at least that's what your title says. I hope all of us can now just learn how to do our own dev by ourselves, instead of leeching off others.

P.S. I knew you were going to see this thread soon enough, your TR leech sensors tingle @ the slightest disturbance.

Amit really has made alot of progress, I'm getting alot more interested in dev and it seems one of teh sevs I play at already is working on translation to BR and has Vera in.

So.... the the entire 2 years, you where bitching about not being able to release the server because you lacked a PKG packer/unpacker, you made one in seconds? Interesting... Something doesn't add up. Either you were telling a huge lie and lead hundreds of waiting people into a never ending black hole, or you're lying now. Dunno which, in either case. It smells like a lie to me. You had excuse after excuse. Then atomix came out of no where, and did in a matter of a single month, what you apparently couldn't pull off over a span of over an entire year.

From my point of view. People like you don't further development in any shape or form. Hoarding files when you aren't able to do anything with them is nothing short of selfish. Hell, even selling them to someone would be better then just sitting on them.

The unpacker was done quickly and the repacking too, HOWEVER, it has to unpack and repack in a certain way, before you can make use of it with a custom client.
Also, my server was done, I just missed 2 parameters (user & pass) to actually login on my client, otherwise I would have launched sooner then Atomix, just ask him, he'll tell you.
I remember you tried to help in the early days, but you couldn't do shit, but I figured you could focus on the community more so I could put in more time to work on TR, but you failed again.

Also if Amit doesn't it today, I'll take the liberty of posting how to hex edit the client to add new content ripped from the new Korean PKGs. Hopefully with some help from Vinam and Nega0 I can elaborate on how to update the hash for others to use the client and other things Amit forgot to leave out when I was told what to do over Skype last night. I'll be uploading a text tutorial on here in the form of a post and a file, and hopefully I can get a video tutorial of it out explaining how to do it even though I currently don't manage my own server due to hamachi and sql server issues.

I gave them to who ever asked. And now that section of the forums is doing fairly well because of it, and among other people/things.

How to edit trgame.exe to use modified PKGs (early and incomplete)
Requirements:

Hex Workshop (Google it)
Unpacker (download it in thread)
Trgame.exe
Ability to add/change HASH
Modified files from Tales Runner PKG

ADVICE: Save a copy of your trgame.exe and old hash in case you fuck up.
Ok let's begin! ^_^

1) Right click "trgame.exe" and select "edit using hex workshop"

2) After trgame.exe is opened in Hex, keep it open and create a new folder that contains 6 letters and no CAPTIAL LETTERS at any location you want (good example would be update)!

3) Grab the files you modified from the pkg and put them in the folder you just made.

4) Open trgame.exe with Hex Workshop

5) In Hex Workshop press Ctrl+F (find) and search the name of the files you just modified (such as chattingcommands) and then you will find something like "Script\(whatever file you modified)". Replace whats before the \ (script in this case) with the name of the folder containing the modified file from the PKG. Make sure to not add any other bytes in hex editor, try to keep it the same number of letters as the name (such as script). If you had to replace script in this case, it would be updat\channel01, and put the update folder in your TR folder then save your trgame.exe (do save as)

5) Run trgame.exe (launchers work too, but you will get a hashing error!)

6) Change your server hash to trgame.exes new hash

And that's it! You can now play your server with modified files. Have fun!

Right now me and nega0 were in a video call trying to add his br translation images in, sadly the client lacks a string of the image we need, and the only one related to it is lobby.gui, so now were going through all these modifications and such.

How to figure out your new clients hash (pictures!).

1) make sure you've modified your client
2) have loginserver command prompt open when you run trgame.exe
3) something like this should show up: http://puu.sh/2DmBY.jpg pay attention to the invalid hash sign.
4) in server controller, press current hash tab
5) should show a bunch of hashes, copy the first letters infront of the hashes into a new one and then add the number as so: http://puu.sh/2DmD4.jpg
6) Save
7) Press reload hash in server controller.
8)DONE!

These guides are nothing close to anything exact or complete, I've already found a huge needed modification which differs highly from that tutorial. I might put up how to change some day, but besides that I've only put it there to see if anyone can figure it out the other more complicated parts based on that. Now ADDING new content involves alot more :P.

Me and the guys at fantasy have already managed to do it!
It helps with editing things you cant find in hex, because the gui can sometimes determine where things go ^_^ and most guis show up in the client.

Also, to all you complaining about a public unpacker release, it was released months ago on a chinese site, made completely by linda zhang. So Stef, no one leeched your shit, and Amit gave credit. She simply released it for an english audience who could not find it.

Amit has told me a friend of hers will be working on a repacker and it will be released here if complete. This is quite useful actually. Although you technically don't need a repacker to use your added or modified files on your server, this will almost completely obliterate the complicated hex editing you have to do to a client, and make it so people using your server can just download a new pkg instead of downloading all of the update folders. This should also give people a not as obvious access to your files. So it would be quite useful
(I can just hear the butthurt screams of people who want to have the best edits).

How to add new content tutorial! Credits to Amit Asaf.
This tutorial barley explains how to add new txt files only, I will try to edit the old version as much as I can to make more sense, because the original version isn't enough to qualify as a basic tutorial (in my eyes).
Ok let's begin:

1) You have 2 options here. You can make a new text on desktop (anything you want in no caps) or, if you know what your doing, use a txt ripped from a pkg, that way it will actually have use (unless you know coding)

2) copy the txts location (such as desktop/inserttexthere.png, leave out all the c:/ stuff, only the desktop folder and the file name) in an empty spot in the client (such as just random ..... ) < not entirely sure on step 2 yet, will have to ask Amit if that's how it works or test it myself.

3) Make sure when you edit the exe in hex, DO NOT ADD ANY NEW BYTES (text) TO THE DATA. OVERWRITE THE EXISTING TEXT ALREADY IN THE CLIENT TO AVOID BREAKING THE EXE! (turning 10 0's into a 10 character long location) (You can tell the exe is broken when the talesrunner icon does not show up).

4) Save and proceed to add your clients new hash! (see tutorial for that above)
This will only make use to someone who actually know how to do coding and such.

If its a text that already exists in the current files you have (the early 2012 korean files), use the other tutorial I put up to modify files (basically replace the current one with the old one, but don't forget to update the folder location of the txt in hex editor, and put the new folder in your current TR folder!) < that will be fixed soon if the unpacker being built ends up working.

So basically, if you unpack tr1.pkg and need to modify just like blank/blank, have a folder update (or 6 letter folder with no caps) in your TR folder. Inside the update folder, make a folder with the same amount of letters of the (namehere)/blank.txt here (example change script with newdata because it has the same amount of letters). Now put all the files unpacked from lets just say tr1.pkg in said newdata or whatever folder. Then simply replace what you want. So now for an example, it'd be update/newdata/blank/blank/modified text in place of older text. Have fun!

To connect the TR Client, you will have to make a launcher or a bat file. I can post a raw copy of the bat files first used to launch tr servers, all it takes is a bit of plugging in your IP that hosts the server to launch it up, and with that I don't believe anything else is needed, the code in it attaches to the login itself. If you can ever figure out how to make a launcher in visual that will work too. I don't have the current bat that I used for MMOPTR testing to copy, so I'll ask negao about it right now. Happy that you managed to specify in good enough detail what your problem is for me to understand.
Unless what you want to do is different from what I'm telling you, lol.

how can I fix this?

and I've made a launcher but without any login information from the database, so I need some help in the database and adding an account to the database, I've been trying to figure out my self how to add an account to the database for approximately 3 days. :hmmmm2:

I don't know exactly about this, but I'd say just make the account tables for now, and look for an auto register option somewhere in files.

Alright, Im too lazy to look if I said the new edit already but I'm going to re explain how to modify files agian.
Make a 6 letter folder in your TR folder, updates fine.
Inside it, put a folder matching the folder you wanna edit (say lobby, make it updat or something with enough letters to equal it)
Then inside the matching letter folder in update, add the whole folder your modifiying (lobby in this case) and replace the file you modified with the orignal file in your updat folder.
If its lobby/instertexamplehere, its now updat/instertexample here. <<< not a real example

Not an owner of GTR. I was, but I realized I got myself into something pointless (to me anyways) and time consuming. I quit the server and my grades bumped up. Im getting closer to the end of the year so I need something to do when I got extra time. That is my own server that isn't going to go public. I already got the voices and lobby changed so I just asked, sorry. I'm 13, not 11. And at least I actually try to translate my own client while Phoenix Tales runner fails and steals files.

Glad to see you've at least matured a bit. In regards to the help you needed refer to the reposted guide. I'm also glad to see your grades bumped up. While phoenix does steal files, I'm sure they will be ddosed in no time. If you want to go the phoenix way for your server, go ahead, I'd see no problem in it as long as its for a non public release.

First of all, depending on what date order you use, The date of those files are June or July.... I doubt your files are real in the slightest. Rhaon's not that big of an idiot to get hacked again or have another dist... we can already add and change whatever we want, new files aren't needed. Plus sense those files are supposedly different than the ones that are used, we wouldn't know. I think you fell to a fake file scam.
